Growth VS Yield

that all depends on all of the other conditions you grow under...Seed strain/growing medium/lighting/nutes/temp/ventilation and your experience.

In theory you could veg a plant to 12" tall, change over to flowering light schedule during which time it will double in size, altho if your growing conditions/ph/lighting are WAY off, you could get very little yield..
Alternativley, there are folks who could flower at 12" and get a shitload of bud off their ladies..Because they supply the plants with ALL of its natural requirements...
Adequate Lighting of the correct color spectrum is an important condition that will determine your final weight of bud.
Along with correct use of Nutes, a good watering regime(dont be over zealous, water when dry to allow air to the roots), excessive Heat can also lessen yield.

If youre limited to space, try some of the Shorter strains, Northern Lights,Possibly Dr chronics Biggie smalls(short plant fairly large yield) ,lo-life seeds do a bunch of autoflowering(no need to change lighting schedule, meaning you can easily have continuous harvest)or possibly try Lowryder2.

A Qtr to 1/2 Oz is a pretty easy target to reach provided you read up, try to supply the plants basic needs and then hopefully if ya got some good genetics, you should get an appropriate amount of bud.

well im not gonna lie, im a first timer and am veging my plant with a grow light from lowes but im adding one more for sure and am considering adding two more on the sides of the grow box since they are only 15 watts a piece. I just need to know if 4 grow lights placed in different locations in the grow box is sufficient enough lighting to get a halfway decent yield?

yes 4 will work IF you use 42w cfls frowm wally world or home depot.

use your light until you can get some 42watters...Make some DIY reflectrs(use the tutorial in DIY section) to cut down on light wastage..

15w are a waste of time bro.. unles you got like 10 of em in there...even then 4 or 5 42w CFLs would do a much better job..

remember to get 6500k rated bulbs for veg and 2700k for flowering.

Hang on frostythesnowthug your not exactly speaking my language. The grow lights are only 2 feet in length, will i be able to find a higher wattage bulb to fit the light ballast? I have built a pretty nice grow box that is 2 feet tall by 25 inches wide. And i am using Styrofoam to surround the box and keep the light in.

my bad,yes you can buy higher wattage bulbs, with the correct color spectrums for veg n flower.

you might still wanna throw some cfls in there too.

Yeah im not trying to sound cheap but space is just something that i dont have a lot of so thats why im using the smaller bulbs. Thanks for the advice.

them 42 watt cfl's that say soft white are actully not the right ones for vegg ,, they are 2700k,,, plug it in & u will notice a yellowish color light ,,, u should get 4 26watt cfl's 6500K ,, wallmart has them for 6$ they say *daylight* right on teh box they come in ,,, keep them 1 finger width away from the plant ,,
