Lots probably dont cure, but they could use large tupperware containers, or the big rubbermaid totes.

some just lay the entire crop in one giant pile and sort of let it fermentate the buds in the middle of the pile start to turn color and smell then they rotate the buds on the outside of the pile to the inside and the ones on the inside to the outside you can also do this on a small scale by building a wooden box and fill it with the crop

some dont like this because it gives the final product a amonia smell(but dont get me wrong the smell of the bud will be there how it is supposed to be but it will be accompanied with the smell of amonia

Ferment and amonia should not be In the same paragraph as ganja.

Although, the drying process of large commercial growers is "put in big pile in the shade for x amount of time". If you have to speed up the drying process For a quick profit that's the way to go^^. But if you have time to properly dry and cure here's what I would recommend.

A fellow mentioned tubberware totes, bingo! I usually line the totes with trashbag ( although I'm looking around for an alternative that has less static. I also feel like a few trics stick to the trash bag).

Dry the buds on a tarp in as much of a shady area as you can find. Or you can string the buds up on a clothsline with a tarp covering the area from rain/sun. The later method works better. Doesn't make flat spots on the buds either.

Next put in totes and burp like normal jars. I was thinking about making totes that can seal ( like normal canning jars with the clip and rubber seal). If I make some, I'd like to post some pictures if it ok with the OP.

Happy tokin!

i really wasnt interested in drying outside. i have a facility large enough to dry indoors. my problem is curing everything without it tasting like plastic. i am skeptical about the totes because for one their not airtight and two they are plastic.

Schwa this is how they cure in the middle east and remember that is where kush derives from some of the best weed comes from the middle east they have hundreds of years of experience
tux they process that you speak of is the same as the one I speak of the one of drying in the shade
farmerjoe dude just go to home depot and buy a aluminum trash can 30 or more gal and make sure that it comes with a lid that fits snug and just place duct tape around the lid on the trash can to make it air tight and when you burp it place new tape because the old would adhere as well

but wont the tote and the trashbag give a plastic taste? have you dried like this before?
I had one crop i had to process that way(outside). If the plastic taste was there, I didn't notice it. I used heavy duty contractor bags to line the totes. I strung some electrical wire I had lying around across the top of the tote. Just below the lid(about an inch from the top). I just hung the branches across the wire. I put 4-5 lengths of wire loaded with buds.

I wish I would of had a solid plan for more buds. The totes worked but I wish I would of went with metal/huge glass containers). The search is still on.
