Guerrilla growing and "Drying 20 pounds of weed" problem. Any Ideas?

He lists 20 lb's, but says he would like "a couple pounds", sounds to me like this is his first grow and he just has a broad goal in mind. We don't need to be to hard on him here, I'm sure he has outdoor plants too, so that clears up the small apartment issue(unless you plan on guerilla growing in your apartment?) My advice is.. focus on growing and read up as much as you can. Don't worry about your harvest until that time starts to approach, just try to worry on having something TO harvest.
man...evreybody keeps saying 20 pounds is too much for a first time guerilla grow...its dissapointing, how much should i expect...i mean, iv alredy started bulking up my Mothers to get as many clones as possible...im only gonna transplant in like 4 months

if you have a secure place to grow your 50 clones then maybe it would be secure enough to dry it outside as well, build yourself a tent with some camo plastic(from money saved from renting a montel, (hotel)....i have seen threads of others using this method...maybe google it...wish u luck

p.s. i would think 4/5 lbs is doeable with 50 clones....so maybe double your clones...and also plant your moms when done cloning....should be able to get almost a lb a plant from a mother if you dont cut too much off her....

20lbs is a hell of a bunch. it will stink up any hotel room and the three on either side of it. what you need if you were to harvest that much is a rural house and about 2 weeks with nothing to do but trim, manicure, dry and sleep. 5lbs takes myself about a week solid and that is with help working very long hours. just to get everything in order. if you think you can pull this by yourself without expierience maybe you should set you sites on .3 of that goal and try to do it correct. hotel is the poorest idea you are asking for trouble.
idealy a cabin with electricity for fans, trays, screens, buble equipment and other esentialls would be the best. anyone here who has dealt with trimming on a big scale will tell you 20 large is not a joke. you will be having nightmares about ganja before you are done.
trimming is only a small part of the battle considering you do harvest that. storage and curing 20 is a big task. it is a job for no less than 3 people working 10 hours a day for 2 weeks.
some will argue that is fine. but to do things correct it takes much more than a room and trimmers..

at your mothers? lol. hey bud without trying to hurt your feelings i invest about $1,000 in soil and another $500 in additives and ferts long before i even have seed stock. gas, tools, bags, lumber, good lighting for starting, bug traps, neem, stakes, ect and before long i find myself $3-4,000 in the hole long before things pay off. and in some years it never does. and i never shoot for 20lbs. i am happy with less than half that. that is what it takes to grow top notch. just some things to consider.

You have to grow a lot of plants indoors to get 10lbs. Anywhere from 40 to 60 large plants. Your going to need really high ceilings to that too. If you have 50 plants in a bachelor pad you pretty much can't live in there. The noise, lights, etc... So if you are going to grow there then you should have the room in a closet to hang a drying rack which will more than handle 10 pounds.

one more post and i will quit but if you plan on growing gerrila that means lots of holes, beds and lots of hauling. say you plant 100 plants expecting .5lbs of each one. 20% are going to be lost do to nature and things out of your control. if you have friends expect them to steal (sorry but truth) bringing you to maybe 50. 50 good plants can grow tons but water, ferts, keeping other animals at bay. these are all tough things to deal with esecially for unexpierienced. hell even when you have expirience they are tough. mate i hate to tell someone what to do but if i were you i would not tell a soul, nobody! grow yourself 3-4 nice gardens with 4-5 plants in each to their max potential. i don't know what your area is like but around here that is .6-1.5lbs per plant. a good deal when all is said and done. and you will still have more than you know what to do with without setting yourself up for sure disaster. good luck.

Well said man, thx it helps!

Hey, im doing a massive grow this year in hopes of getting a couple pounds out of the ladies!

But theres a problem...I live in a small bachelor appartment in Montreal city and recently, I had an idea about where I could dry all of this...

I thought of renting a montel room and using the the batroom as a drying room... because of the celling fans... no one could smell the buds...right? or is 20 pounds of weed gonna seep thrue 11 inches of walls? lol..

how bout you guys? If you coudlent use your home to dry plants...where or what would you use??
I would rent a storage unit that has 24 hr entry and go in at night with it bagged air tight w/ a cheap tent, roll of guerilla tape to airtight the tent, 5 gallon bucket of water, bottle of pinesol,
dryer hose and strong yet silent fan. This is all you need. I'd put the stuff in boxes so it looks like yr just adding stuff to yr unit. Make sure it has an outlet inside.
I'll see if anybody knows how to put these items together to achieve his goal. Wouldn't be any fun to just give the answer. Winner gets a Z of my ATF/Cindy99.

the proplem i would foresee with storage unit would be lack of fresh curculatin air. which is highly essential. also unless it is climate controlled it may get to hot?cold and possibly have adverse effects on your harvest. i'm not sure what the solution is for you buddy especially if you live in a house where you can't dry it. also 20lbs stinks an incredible ammount. the storage place will have complaints coming from your unit if there are gossip people near.
charcoal/activated carbon filters work wonders but only if you create a vaccume in your room. ie- your fans exaust more than the room sucks air in. but that can be costly.
for now you have plenty of time to ask and set up your grow. maybe in the next few month you will figure out something nice. outdoor is least ideal due to temps. unless you can control the temp form 65-75 with low humidity. it will be hard outdoors to dry and take longer due to low temps.
an old shack would be better than most for outdoor. regardless of how you choose to do it make sure you have occilating fans blowing on them at all times to ciculate the air around and prevent mold.
good luck

Bury it really deep in your backyard until you think it's dry. Make sure to bury it far enough so it doesn't smell.

no do not bury it, think? how would it dry? drying ganja is just as important as how you grow it. it may be top notch but if dried bad it will suck. and bad ganja dried and cured well will be smokeable. never put it in the ground
