GuerrillaGreenery 600w Organic Student Garden!!!!!!

Hey Whats going On to all the RIU fam! This is gonna be a pretty unique Journal. I want this journal to be a POV (point of view) journal of a college student grower. I know there are a lot of young growers who go to college full time. Maybe people want to know whats its like to be a student and a grower, So I want to give a little insight of whats its like to be one.

First of all before I get into it about my garden I want people to know Educating yourself should always come before medicating yourself. So dont think that growing comes before knowing. We cant grow bomb ass buds without learning how to do so. So spend as much time learning as you can. And not just about marijuana, About life period.

So without further adue 9 (and before you get bored lol!) some information about my current Grow area.A row cab from 2x3's and panda plastic. Very simple, just made a frame, stabalized it and wrapped it. cut some 6'' holes on the lower part of the box for intakes, mounted a 440 cfm valueline exhaust fan inside and mounted my 600w hps at the top of it. Very simple, very low investment, maybe $600-$700 total cost!


So now on to my plants. Right now im running two strains. Blue Mystic which came from attitude seeds and a very very fruity kush strain. not a traceable genetic but i love the smoke, I call this one Blueberry Kush. I have grown this kush strain a couple of times outdoors and the bud is amazing so im now on like 3rd Gen of this strain from 1 clone.

I like to stay along the lines of Organic growing. Its easier for me, less demanding, more forgiving and the results are freakin amazing! I use the Original Earth Juice line everything except the grow part, I use Alaska fish fert instead. I also use indonesian bat guano and some hygrozyme and superthrive. I also use Humboldt honey ES as a molasses additive. And of course i use myco's and tricho's for my beneficial fungi's. My nutes are really basic but i havent had not one deficency or problem so i cant complain.

The 5 plants i am running now Started flowering on the 1st of November. They all are looking very nice and growing strong and healthy I dont think i have not one burnt leaf tip or any spots on any of my leaves (thats why i like organics!)

Ok im finally home finished all my homework from 3 classes (yea ima beast!!).

So as you would expect my day more or less ends where it begins in my garden. I really want to just take a minute and talk about my life. And i dont really think i reflect on myself that much you know i spend a lot of time talking about my plants, making videos about my plants, taking care of my plants.And i know most the people here are here primarly about the plants and could give a flying fuck about me really. And thats cool, thats the whole reason why I made my journal.

But I think its important to understand what it really means to do what I do. And why I do what i do ya know?. And i know we all, everybody has to make sacrifices. But people who are into the growing business have to make a lot of sacrifices. And ive sacrificed so much ya know? But being a student, Im 24 years old almost 25. Ive had to sacrifice part of my life for my love of growing plants.

A lot of my earlier friends who i tried to get them involved with this, my vision. Because its really what i want to do like this thread i wanted to share everything with the people who were closest to me. some of them turned their back on me, some completely rejected me becuase of it. And with my friends or what not, the ones who were trying to work with me, it was clear from the beginning they didnt share the passion or the work ethic. And because of it things just always went to shit!

So i had to just really cut away everyone and anyone who didnt share my passion and dedication as i did and went my own way. So between my life as a full time grower and a student its been difficult. But thats just makes success SO much better! But ultimatly its changing me as a person. And im not angry or mad at anyone who isnt around anymore. I just have to focus on me and my plants, its like one hand washing the other. You take care of your plants, they will take care of you. And when your plants take care of you, you take care of them. So an easy choice!

So i just wanted to shed a little light about my mindframe and where im at in my life. I appreciate everybody who has tuned in and is going to be a part of this thread. This will not be a regular grow journal, so without further adue heres some pictures after a little watering and stem trimming.....STAY FROSTYYY!

well this is my first run with the 600w so i hoping to get atleast 5 or 6 oz's from those 5 plants. im sure i will i always like to undershoot everything so that way im not dissapointed but i got 3 & 3/4 of OG kush from 2 plants under a 400w so maybe i will get more than 5oz's!! JAH WILLING??

Lol I dig it. Thats a pretty nice setup I just got done going through your setup. your plants got 600w's on my so yea they are going to be a lot more developed than mine. But at least we can post nice harvest shots around the same time. that'll be cool. good luck with the next few short weeks you have left ill be checkn in on you.

Just a quick question.. Im going to the grow store this weekend and im trying to put a list together to have because everytime i get in there its like the grocery store i forget exactly what i need and get everything else. so i want to be prepared from now on.

I want to get some kind of flower booster. Some kind of organic additive to boost up my flowers. Im almost done with with the first month so i wanted something to help with really packing on some weight to the buds. anybody have any suggestions for these kinds of products. Im not going to the store until this weekend so that will give me a little time to do some research on the products you guys suggest. Much appreciated RIU!!

Just incase anybody was wondering how i feed my girls and how much, I snapped a couple of pictures while i making my earth juice teas.

First this is everything im using (currently) for flowering. L to R- Alalska fish fert, humboldt honey es, hygrozyme, superthrive, EJ Meta-K, EJ catalyst, EJ microblast, EJ bloom, indonesian bat guano


How much to use is different all the time. EJ is not one of the most concentrated nutrient lines. In fact its one of the weaker ones but thats a good thing. I have NEVER had a burn or a deficency of any kind! You can start using the recommended dosages right away and i go all the way up to 3 times the recommended dosage. The good thing about EJ is the plants love it and they eat it up like crazy! you might end up buying more EJ nutes than you would other nutrient lines but at under $10 you really can't beat it.

Ive read a lot of threads and posts about EJ and they have always recommended bubbling the solutions for at least 24hrs before feeding the plants. this is for a few VERY good reasons. First is to airate the solution and put oxygen into the solution. second is to start the break down process of the nutrients to be more accessible to the roots. the plants appreciate this a lot and it makes it easier for the plants to eat the nutes up like crazy!!! The third very important thing about bubbling EJ first is to stabalize the PH. when you first mix the solution the ph can read way down between 2.0-4.0 range. Pretty much the longer you bubble your solution the better the PH stabalizes. It will pretty much stop at 6.0. PERFECT!!

So basically all i do is mix my solution in gallon jugs and stick my air line right in the jug and keep it dark for a few days thats it.


Sometimes you might see soome foamy stuff on the water line, Thats fine. That is is microbes braking down the solution and letting you know they are hungry. all you do is add some type of carbs for them. I use they humboldt honey for this. So thats pretty much it thats why i love organic growing!!!

And i know this has NOTHING to do with my plants but i figured id show you guys what ive been working on for a while. Just finished it tonite. perfect picture. check the setting sun

O nice, I'm looking into getting a new DSLR. I started with a Pentax k100d to get my feet wet but now I'm ready to move up to something a little beefier. Love to meet a fellow arteest and grower.
