Guess The Deficiency Game!!!!

This looks like a mag def to me. A question first. Did this start at the bottom and work it's way up?

Magnesium (Mg) deficiency:
Magnesium deficiency will exhibit a yellowing (which may turn brown) and interveinal chlorosis beginning in the older leaves. The older leaves will be the first to develop interveinal chlorosis. Starting at leaf margin or tip and progressing inward between the veins. Notice how the veins remain somewhat green though as can be seen in figure 15.
Notice how in figure 16 and 17 the leaves curl upwards like they're praying? They're praying for Mg! The tips may also twist.
This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
If the starting water is above 200 ppm, that is pretty hard water, that will lock out mg with all of the calcium in the water. Either add a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salts or lime (both will effectively reduce the lockout or invest into a reverse osmosis water filter.
Mg can get locked-up by too much Ca, Cl or ammonium nitrogen. Don't overdo Mg or you'll lock up other nutrients.

I do know that I have a nitrogen deficiency- but!!! I believe this is something more...

I have been picking up PALE yellow leaves lately, w/o the blotches thats why Im also leaning towards magnesium....

hopefully tomorrow I can get some better pics... and hopefully u will all return for round 2!!!!!

Will magnesium deficiency produce a more uniform chlorosis? I know that both N and Mg problems lead to the yellowing. Crap, I'm too high to go get my notes from plant phys lab.

Graf, do you use an all in one nute? If you do then there's a good chance you are deficient in all three.

yeah, actually I do use an all in one.. its age old bloom.... w/ an NPK of
5-10-5...

Think I should raise the dose??

Well so far I know that I have a Nitrogen deficiency....

and by the looks of it, either a Potassium or a Magnesium deficiency....... or both.

Possibly a little splash of some grow big next watering????

yeah i would say root rot....do they recover at all or just die no matter what? if so thats probably why, look at the root ball afterwards, if it's all slimy and moldy, you will know to water less...though you are the expert, i am a lowly staff seargent and your the general...

yellowing leafe curl, browning, spots. im pretty sure it is Mg, have you tried epsum salts?

well my first guess was magnesium but by the looks at the pics. on the chart it seems like a phosphorus def..

maybe its both...... thats why this thread is here... to hopefully get the answer
