“You’re looking for optimum light penetration through the canopy,” Haupt says. “Not only that, you’re refocusing the plant’s energy toward the top to generate new growth. When you schwazze your plants, you’re removing a lot of their ability to uptake sugar. The fan leaves are sugar factories and feed the flower. When they’re removed, you now have to feed the plant all that sugar and the micro/macro nutrients.”

That’s where Success Nutrients come in, providing the primary and secondary pH-buffered nutes necessary to sustain healthy plant growth.

That's a quote from the author. I've seen this book referenced on this site before, have never heard an explanation how the science of it works. I've never done it the way it's being shown so I'll hold my judgement until I have. I'll say this though some one selling a book for 500.00 dollars an getting people to buy it is a genius
I believe in stripping fan leaves, and the three per light method and explanation of the method is just straight bullshit. That book is 100% theft if anyone even bought it id be amazed.

The book also talks about stripping fan leaves in veg, which is effective in doing one thing and one thing only, stunting a plants growth, which is sometimes necessary, but no miracle to yield. The aggressive defoliation at week 3 of flower MUST have the same effect, though id never try it because its 100% gunna stunt your plant. Removing fan leaves should be done slowly over multiple weeks and never to the extent these idiots are recommending.

Stripping fan leaves is only a small piece in a large puzzle. Carefully mix some thermite and ignite each developing bud, around week 4 of bloom. Collect the ashes of the buds. Cull the entire crop. Grow the next gen of clones/seeds to ~15' (yes " ' "), then cull them as well. Take the remains, mulch, and add it to your grow medium (doesn't matter which method/medium, incorporate that shit). Periodically supplement with your "bud ash". Amount/duration will be relative to "about a thermite burned pound", only in proper juxtaposition to the current guesstimated bud weight. This number is only guaranteed accuracy through the average weight as suggested by the RIU community, give, or take, about 7 hundredths of a stone. Now, with this information, you can, in hind-site (which is always 0.6999~x0.5999~, or something like that), assume the proper ratio of defoliation to disintegration.

Dead fucking serious. :blsmoke:

You'll only get three a light if you use the author's nute line up

Here's for An update, this was originally a guess the weight type of thread but quickly turned into a defoilAtion thread, and how threealight was a scam or not, here's a pic of their plant and one of mines, my strain is mk ultra, their plant is wider and shorter, mine is still stacked and grows past the bamboo,

I'd say they are pretty damn similar, I didn't use their nute line up, all I used was the defoliation method and that's it, just throwing this post out there, with that being said , i do feel the defoilation method is strain dependant, the mango puff I originally posted about I would say doesn't like it, I'll pull the mango puff out today or tomorrow and give and update on it, I always moves plants around somehow during the watering and it's towards the back, but will definitely update asap ,
