Hey what's up fellas just smoking some garbage I bought off the streets but it's all good. Soon something will be done about that. :hump: First off just let me say my plants do not look good at all. At first they were looking great. But the newbie in me just couldn't leave em alone. So I over watered them. Couple days later my hydro setup shows up & again the newbie in me just had to set it all up. I germ a couple of seeds in rock wool & put them in the reservoir(their starting to sprout by the way). Back to the plants let it be known that my initial grow stared with a box that I put together. For some reason I thought it would be okay to transplant the plant from soil to hydro, she is shribling by the day. I watered them with some ph water to clean the nutrients out a lil but since then I've just been foliar feeding them letting the the soil dry a lil more. Also I got my fan & filter in today & it would be awesome if some1 can lead me to a link or links that show tent set ups would be awesome. Here's a few pics of what I'm working with. For some reason it will not load my pics. I thought it would maybe cause I'm on my ipad.

Your over thinking everything way to much. I saw some noobs with a little guidance, good clones, and almost no money pull some nice weight.

Don't put seeds in hydro. Don't foliar spray.

Keep it simple

Over thinking sounds more like it. You read so much info that it kinda steers you in all kind of direction. Thanks for the help.

Start seeds in soil filled solo cups with holes at the bottom to prevent over watering. Then take cuttings from there. I've successfully transferred plants from soil to hydro and I've also failed. Now I wouldn't even consider taking the risk.

I know. When I began I read the forums, and a ton of books. I started with soil but after a few weeks I thought I knew it all and jumped intro hydro. From the MANY shit books and forums I read, I thought Aeroponics was where it was at and that Stinkbuds system couldn't be beaten. I thought I had the upper leg, and that I was smarter than everyone else. Live and Learn.
Now I'm a helluva lot better soil grower than I ever was. Still consider myself a hydro grower though, and I know I still have a lot to learn.

To get the best advice, post what your goals are. I've seen yields you wouldn't believe with miracle grow and Ebay equipment.

I prefer to dampen a papertowel and place my seeds in that, then fold over a few times and place in a baggy to retain moisture and place in a warm area (75°F to 80°F).

Check back in 36 to 48 hours.

Once all seeds have cracked and a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch taproot is showing I either place in rapid rooter plugs or small 4" pots of soil or coco coir or medium of choice. In a few days the heads should all pop above the surface.

This is one of the best ways to germinate seeds as just placing them in growing medium from the get go makes it very easy to overwater and kill the seed/seedling.

For ventilation setups here are the guidelines:

- You want your fan pulling air, rather than pushing it. Meaning you want the fan sucking the intake air through the filter, rather than sucking it from the room and pushing it into the filter.

- Heat rises, so it is advisable to have your exhaust coming from an upper area of the tent

- Air intake is extremely important, and is best coming in from the bottom of the tent. If you don't have an intake at the bottom, use a top slot and run a couple feet of ducting down to the bottom of the tent, this way the airflow covers the entire volume of the tent.

Hope this helps! Cheers friend :)

Edit: don't forget a small oscillating fan to have blowing on the canopy.
