I will say that I can understand why an undercover gay person that didn’t want to be known as gay would act homophobic..
But that doesn’t mean that every one uncomfortable with homosexuals is secretly gay..

N=30 is nowhere near a valid sample size, your margin of error will be huge.
If your population is small enough you can get away with 30 people, then the better way to go is consensus method, not sampling.
Somewhere between 1,000 and 1,100 sample size is enough that getting more samples won't radically change the accuracy, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error +/-3%.
Maybe you're the one who lacks an education, dropout?

No it isn't. I got my book out from my statistics for calculus. The exact number for a perfect sample size is 1,068 for any population size.
If you want to go overboard and do a 99% confidence level at even 0.1% accuracy, then even for an infinite population size, the maximum sample size needed is 1,664,100 samples.
30 is way too small and will have a horrible margin of error, even at 95% confidence level. The better method for samples that low, if your population is low is consensus method. This can be verified by a simple google search, capitalist pig.
Any survey that states they have less than 1,000 samples, is suspect.
