Guys im in a situation!

So my friend is a long time grower and he had 2 clones who needed homes and decided they would be a great gift to me and i dont have any equipment to grow these poor girls:[ he was soupposed to give me a care package for them but he is in some legal issues right now so i dont think thats gonna happen!

These poor girls are still in cups and i dont know how to transfer them into pots and their being lit by a regular lightbulb right now which i know is horrible can someone throw a quick list of things i need to go pick up!

Their about 4 weeks old and can someone tell me what lighting schudle they should be under! and how often they need to be watered!

Their currently being watered once a day and under 24 hour light

THANKS IN ADVANCED!

In experienced grower with cuts from a friend in legal troubles? My best advice to you my friend is throw them in the trash.

buy a cfl blue bulb - hang 12" above, repot plants into 6 or 8" pots and leave light on 18 hrs a day or even 24. Grow to about 18" tall and get a red bulb and leave on for 12 hrs and off for 12. the basics! ps only water when dry-ish;)

Thank you brother!

Can i pick up all this at any hardware store? If not its all good theirs a nice grow shop down the street but my friends have been saying its expensive

I wouldn't be watering them daily, wait until the soil is pretty dry before you water. You can use a 24/0 light schedule, many ppl do.

Containers (a 1 gallon around my way is less than a buck)
5000k+ CFL Bulb(s) (I'm vegging with a combo of 5000 and 6500k bulbs, working great)
Soil for the transplant
Nutrients, if they're 4 weeks you can start feeding but start with low doses until you see how the plant reacts

That's a very basic list. Obviously the more you can invest into the plants, the better and more rewarding your yield will be. Good luck.

------------Edit-------------
I split my shopping between the hydro shop, hardware stores, and megamarts like target/wal-mart.

i always move pot sizes up one at a time in soil, want to let the roots fill the pot before moving on - ps go to your expensive grow store, they have the right bulbs purposly for the job:)

Within your 5th post you are starting to talk about it being expensive. LOL!!! I recommend throwing the plants out. That is free.

P.S. Do you live with your parents and do they know that you are growing pot?

Well thanks guys! ive got a couple bucks to spend so ill go shopping around tomorrow and hit the hydro shop and the hardware store!

How much do light set ups usually go for?

bulb in uk £5 for 23w upto £40 for a 250w (recommend) - reflectors £20 - £150 or make your own;) bulb fitting if making your own is around £5

No i don't live with my parents anymore and i dont think it matters if they know.

and when did i say it was expensive?? i just asked how much things were so i know how much im gonna spend to set things up im sorry im trying to plan ahead........

Watering every day!!!! Noooooooo... You need to water them less especcially as they dont have enough light and heat to give them a chanse to use up all the fluids. Also you might want to start them on some nutes after transplanting them into bigger pots. But your first worry is less water, bigger pots, more light in that order.

Maybe it is because it is 6 am...

But you know this guy who is an expert at growing plants. And somehow, in a legal issue unrelated to pot, he is now completely unable to speak with you to give you any advice on growing.

So you come here and ask a completely open ended question.

What are you going to do when the plants are 4 feet high and need a professional light for a couple hundred dollars? How are you going to handle ventilation issues? Etc... Too much to cover in one thread.

Thanks for the advice bro!
