Hi Alec
Having trouble seeing the distance between the light and the top of the canopy. How close is the lamp to the top of the plants would you say? If you put your hand there and hold it, is the temperature hot?

You should in general keep it 12-16" unless you are running the bulb down then you can lower it some more because it losses lumens. That looks a bit crowded how long have you been in flower?

If those plants are still flexible I would bend them all as low and even as I could and tie them down.

Next time if you leave all the lower branches they would all grow up and make tops and would stay short and grow wider.

Look up LST for techniques.

they need to stay under 80 degrees Farenheight and I would have 2 or 3 feet between the light and canopy. They are showing heat stress.

Hope this helps.

You could move the closest ones to the light every few weeks. Otherwise if youre too close youll get bleaching and the buds will brown and be pretty bad. Super cropping is a good idea. But seriously bro, i think youre in some serious trouble there. It doesnt even look like those plants have been flowering for a week yet. Theyll stretch a few more inches at least. Can you hang the light from the ceiling? Like lose the tent all together?

Hey I dug up some random pics of tying plants down and bracing the stem.

I do this through week 2 and bend and supercrop branches til I end up needing to support the buds toward the end.

Then you just stake and tie the plants as the lower branches (if you leave them next time) stretch up to become tops.

I grow a perpetual garden with all stages together and all different strains and crosses but the last pic should give you an idea of managing the space.

It is easier and more productive for yield to grow plants together like in the op. With some planning and practice you can have a sea of tops in there.

Oops. I forgot to black out the border on one of the screenshots.

I know it would be heartbreaking but if you have to remove a plant to make it all work you would get better results and likely have less problems.

Goal is to keep the canopy in the sweet spot where the plants look happy and vigorous.

I would guess at least a couple of feet or more from that hot bulb and you need good extraction. And a fan or two pointing between the lamp and canopy helps.

You have to experiment for best results with air flow.

Good luck.

Supercrop!

Whats the use of growing a plant that tall and removing so much of it? Your wasting time and money doing that! More then you think!
You can put the hood on yo-yo's you know! Don't have to grow them "close" - lower the light to them and raise as they grow!

Veg for half the time and get shit that much quicker! Top at the 4th node and then those at their second....Run to 24-28 inch's and flip to bloom.....lollypop only those lower branch's that don't reach out to the plants diam.
Remove interior or branch "suckers" out to mid branch, 2/3's of the way up and don't do anything to the top 1/3rd of the plant.

some of these plants were given to me vegged for a long time in 4x4 pots.
then i had to move my grow somewhere else because of house inspections. I couldn't flower the plants at my mates house .
so thats why they are all stretched out. Vegged for too long, and had to make the best of my situation
So its ok to super crop in the end of week 3?

Next time top at the third node instead of the 8th or 9th node and it will be shorter.

Personally, I would remove ~4 of those so you can get light penetration to the lower buds you will get better yield.. If you super crop you will have a rebound time ~1-2 weeks depending on how clean you super cropped it. I would only super crop in veg. Take some out of the room and send some pics to see how crowded it looks then.

The plants I showed that I bent and I supercrop branches as needed as well turn back toward the light the same day.

Supercrop knuckles form in 2 to 3.

It takes some practice.

Also if they keep wanting to stretch try a trellis out, basically just a net you throw over it and hold them down you will need to trim them good then for better light penetration. That's good michiganmed grow the few people I have seen super cropped form these big ass narly knuckles that look ill past the super crop for at least a week then they bounce back.
