H.A.F. growing stink-flowers in dirt with QB's

I don't know if you answered it already, but what height are you running in the flower tent?
Have you gotten light bleach, or deficiencies from the led's?
Where did you get the 260?
They were at 12-14" so yes light was at least part of it. but I think it is just the light intensifying the effects of whatever else I did. I think the cal-mag deficiency was building up, then when she got to a certain stage of flower it showed. The leaves are still pliable - in the past they have been crispy by now :)

And I got all but the 65 through Growers Lights. I got the little 65 on Amazon.

One thing about being retired is that I can check on the plants frequently. Good and bad if you get bored...
As far as this being an art rather than a science, here's a little of both. When I watered them all 2 days ago, almost immediately the leaves drooped. Since I only watered around the outside of the pot, that tells me the roots are there and the repotting junk is done.
Yesterday the leaves were flat level, and today they are perking back up. Lights are still on for another 5 hours, so they should be a little more vertical by then. This is the artsy part telling me that they are getting light on water. This is what I look for before even lifting the pot to check, and is a good quick reference.

The sciency part is that it makes factual sense. The plants do their photosynthesis thing, which includes sucking water up into the leaves for transpiration. Because water is heavy the more there is available to the plant, the heavier the leaves will stay while doing their thing.

I planned to feed tomorrow but may shift it to tonight at lights on instead - depending on how they look then.

These are only 5 days behind the NL, and are doing fine, but I looked at some "same age" pics of the NL and the sprouts were more developed. It could be the strain, but I did one thing different on the NL that might be worth looking into.

I gave the NL a feeding (FF trio "seedling" feed) right after I transplanted, and I only put it around the edge of the pot, where the solo-cup-size roots could not possibly get burned. I am sure that the water evaporated by the time the roots got there, but every watering since then has been releasing some of those goodies. She had nothing since except calmag.

These have just had what is in the soil and calmag. And in 5 days I don't see them being the size of the NL unless they get fed.

Everyone got their first feeding today, so the game begins to see if one nute system is better.

One of these pairs will be the manifold. I am watching to see if the upper pair get noticeable larger stems than the lower pair before I decide. If they are similar I'll keep the lower (bigger) pair.

There is also a little more main stem space above the upper node to prune

Getting close to harvest on the GDP. About 70% of the pistils are brown, trichomes all milky with a few amber on topIMG_8253.JPG .

Manifold decision made. Here's my thought process. The white boxes are my 2 options of where to cut when I top. Topping at the lower one doesn't leave much room, it is noticeably fatter, and snipping in the longer section gives me a better chance of cloning it.

The decision is made, but I'm not topping yet because those sprouts are too small to LST. To aid growth I snipped the shoots below and the 3toed leaves that were in the shade, and I snipped the shoots above it because they had a stem long enough to get to.

I'm letting it go now until I top it.

This baby will be my closet-filler. After seeing how the GDP produced with almost no soil this one should rock!

And this one got her last feed yesterday. There are mostly milky trichomes on the lower stuff, a few amber but not many, but the tops are just a mess. some still have clear some are past amber to dead. When I get closer to harvest and remove those top 16 fan leaves it'll look like a new plant.

And the short flip is getting respectable. Still don't think I'll get more than an ounce out of it though.IMG_8273.JPG

The GDP probably has another week to 10 days. All my flowers are couch-lock indicas, and I found that harvesting earlier does make it noticeably more energetic of a high. I want to see about 10-20% amber on the lower ones and it's done. Nothing but water until then, no darkness, stem-splitting, etc.

Once I set a date, I'll start pruning the fan leaves away.

Got tired of looking at her. I only snipped 2 fan leaves, but I gave the rest a hair-cut to get the deadness out of the way. Can't kill it now... maybe I can induce some fatness with mo light :)

I left the uglies on there instead of snipping all the fans because they are sticky with sugar. I'd just rather not have the sugar off those dead crispy parts.

Manifold process for me.
I snip with about a 1/2" left, then flatten a small ball of grafting wax to cover the cut. I form it around the edges, and it will stay there until harvest.

For now I have stakes pushed into the soil, waiting for the height to be able to hook them to the sides. I left the extra 2 leaves for now. they shouldn't grow much more, and it's twice the energy to the plant than just leaving the two.
