thinking about getting one of these, any one ever use it?
should i get this or just another regular 2700k cfl?
so either i will have 6 27w 2700k or 5 27w 2700k and 1 of these 26w UVB lights
thanks for any input
if you decide to use one of these you should use a the tropical not desert but honestly they are just expensive cfls. Im pretty sure all flourescent bulbs give off UVB. I work at a pet store where these are sold an some ppl tell customers just to use a normal cfl cuz it works the same.

No offence to the last poster but your info is messed up. You need to learn about animals man reptiles require those bulbs because they are the only ones that come close to replicating the uva and uvb required by reptiles to get vitamin D to process calcium. The people who are buying normal cfl bulbs for reptiles requiring uva and uvb will end up with MBD (metabolic bone disease). If regular bulbs and uv bulbs were the same why not just use normal cfl bulbs in a uv water filtration system. And btw Yes look at the uv bulb as little as possible.

PS. I know its an old post but it needs correcting.
