Why cant you drill into the celing ....use a stud finder and pilot a hole into the celing joist where you need the light/s then screw a J hook into it and use chain to hang. when you need to take them down ...its as easy as filling the little hole with caulk or drywall texture....just fill the holes...a little paint...no one will ever know it was there!! You can do the same thing on the walls. What I do is find the studs...using a stud finder....use a 4ft level to scribe center line of the studs then I anchor a 2x4 or 2x6 across the wall and screw my lumber right to the wall...then you can mount your componets..ballast,,etc right to your lumber. when you have to take it down...its as easy as filling a few screw holes on the wall and your done!!!!

Make a box using plywood and dry wall slightly smaller than the outlying room, drill and poke into that wood/drywall... problem solved.

If you just need to hang the light... go buy 4 2x4's, cut one in half and use each side to screw into the two side wood's, lay one across the top and screw everything together, when your done it will look like a cherry picker, just hanging a light instead of an engine. haha.

Great suggestion....even better. This eliminates filling screw holes all together. In fact.....I have used this method as well!! A few boards, some screws and presto...problem solved!! Good one

If you use a grow tent, they're already built in. If not, build a stand(s) out of 2x4s or iron water pipe. Make sure its sturdy enough. Use rope ratchets to adjust the height. If you can't find what you need ready made, you'll have to build it yourself. That's half the fun!

Yeah for you apartment growers, think "room within a room" to eliminate existing room damage. Glad I'm in a house right now, cause it makes everything a lot easier. But simply enough, You can always figure out a way to get shit done.

If your in an apparent and you cant get the room cold enough due to central air like most have, instead of thinking diverting, ducting, fans etc... Just think "window/wall unit" within the room, shut off the vent(s) into the room, to avoid wasting your apartment AC and running bills up for no use. The only problem is the room is going to be hot as balls outside of the growing portion, so tending is going to suck, just like my situation... LOL I much rather be in the grow room, than slightly outside of it in the cesspool of heat that it is.

You know how they hang shower curtains? W that expandable metal bar? They have those for draperies/ tapestries that are really big; maybe it'd fit your room; then you can slide your light along it or just hang it stationary. Like a big manual light mover. Just another highdea.
