Hanging CFL'S

I use 26w cfls and 7 outlet power strips. That way you can fit 4 lights per strip. You can use as many strips as you want, obviously. Use socket to outlet adapters so you can plug your bulbs right into the strip. This type of setup is perfect for a SCROG. SCROG's are perfect for CFL's :blsmoke:.

Mine is quite small, only a 2.5 sq foot area, but as I said you can make it as big or small as you want to.

Also make sure that the light height is adjustible. I can insert the rods that support my lights at several differnt heights all the way up to the top which is 5 feet.
 
Yeah the strips are a good idea but I don't them to be straight up and down because most of the light from a cfl comes from the sides thats why the Y's are nice because of the angle of the bulb will be at a 45 degree angle and aim more light down. the only time I have cfl's vertical is when they are below canopy level to boost under growth.

I agree that either have them in Y splitters or have them sitting sideways instead of up and down. Also try to have some kind of reflector uptop. It makes a difference.
