I'm thinking Ca/Mg deficiency. But check other factors (pH, temp) before adding more nutes.

Since they're at 18/6 already, just keep them there. They look great, and I'm sure will surpass mine in no time!

Thats mine before calmag. Yours dont look as advanced as mine yet but they look similar. Im not sure if you are still going all natural on these biatches but molasses has got some cal and mag in it. I dont think its enough though cause mine showed deficiencies on 2tblsp a week of molasses. Lime also has cal and mag in it. Maybe an organic pro can chime in.

ok...well could there be a possibility ive give it to much? Because ive been adding the recommended dose of my cal/mag during the last 2 waterings as it indicates to do on my feeding schedule chart....i flushed the soil earlier today just as a safety measure until i could find out the problem. Will this deficiency cause problems? Or should i just wait until next feeding and add some cal/mag then....or should i do a foliar feeding with the cal/mag now?

inbox is now empty sir

im going look into this cal/mag thing some more and search riu a bit

Well it might not be a calmag def if youve been given them the recommended dosage. Im no expert in plant problems.

well i've looked into a few threads on this and other sites, and i've found some similar to mine but appeared in later stages..and it was a ca/mg deficiency thread gathered that ca appears in new foliage where mg appears in the lower leaves, i gave the plants a foliar feeding to see if we have any change in a few days..if it gets worse by next watering since i flushed the soil ill re-add my nutes

Dont cal mag deficiencies show up also as a phosphorus deficiency? Cuz cal/mag are needed for the plant to turn the phosphorus into food. So the calmag inhibits P uptake. So too much cal mag will cause no P uptake? I read dsomethin onthe plant problems forum. A lot of interesting stuff on here. Would check out that plant problems section. Very informative. Look great otherwise. How's #1 doing?

yeah see im noticing this too, the two deficiencies look ALOT alike..im almost leaning towards the P getting locked out..i think my Ph in the soils to high but i dont actually have a ph tester for the soil, just for liquid

Next time you feed them test the runoff. If its low run up to home depot and get some garden lime. Like 3 dollars i think. Sprinkle 1 tblsp per gallon of soil on top and water it in. Fixed my ph fluxuations in a day and they havent gone out of the 6.3 to 6.7 range since. So many problems look the same to us noobs:)

Like i said im no expert on organics but i thought a naturally healthy ph was one of the benefits as long as your using neutral water?

Throwing up some pics of 1 and 2

#1 is looking a lil sad if u ask me, color looks a little off..but shes been that way since day 1

#2 here with her issues..its just the lower 2 fan leaves that have real problems it looks like..theres some yellowing on that one but i think thats more to do with it never getting light

i thought this was the idea as well, i think my ph is a bit high tho, but i think i read somewhere the nutes cause the ph to drop a bit then raise back up over time and it says its recommends not adjusting the ph of the water

well i flushed the soil really good and the runoff looked really yellowish, i bet me adding the calmag to the feeding yesterday was a bad idea i probably didnt even need it, very well could be it locking out the phosphorus, it sure does match that type of deficiency a bit

Who knows but go ahead and test your runoff anyway. Organics is something im going to look into learning about. Did you know that rain water has a ph of 5.6 yet we are told that thats too low to water with. Mother(nature) knows best. I want to do a real organic grow where all you have to do is feed the micro organisms in your soil and let there waste feed the plant what it needs. Take some serious studying though.

I had a good bit of water from my recent flushing sitting in the bottom of the tray the pots in, so i squeezed some up with my dropper and put it in my ph testing vial, added 3 drops, and its showing its between the 6 and 6.5 range..so it should be ok now as far as ph goes right?

Get some litmus paper from ur local aquarium store. Or u can go to a garden supply center and I have a rapi test. It was 14 bucks from metro plant exchange. My .02 stop with the cal mag for a few waterings and see how you do. But just drop the cal mag. Keep the same regimen.

Also remember when u feed ur ph will drop (due to the acidity ofthe ferts) and ur ph WILL drop than come back up wen the nute water dries up and leaves behind salts, which are highly alkaline. So what I do is, flush as every 3rd watering. So I go; week 1 nute, week 2 water, week 3 nute, week 4 flush. And penny looks OK (for a first grow, and I made A LOT of mistakes) but I wish I read some posts before I started my grow, it would have been flawless. But oh well, u live and keep learning :) hope that tid bit helped. Love and peace, Joey Bozz

Edit: it's a weed, remember, it will grow in any condition. Sometimes u gotta let it act like a weed.

I keep that in the back of my mind this whole time. I think that this shit grows in the worst possible places in the world, yet when we start the indoor cultivation, growing a simple weed turns into a "corporate scheme" just remember that it's a weed and let it grow like one :)

My bottom leaves were doing the exact same thing. Looking good still though bro, keep it up!

Did u figure out what it was? Today its looking a bit worse and its alot more identifiable as a P deficiency, its got the rusty spots really showing and the leaves turning yellow..looks just like the leaf chart. I foliar sprayed with a 10-15-10 diluted down to about half of that..hopefully she will pick up in a day or two.
#1 i've noticed has'nt grown at all in the last 2-3 days and is getting a bit yellow, needed some nitrogen so i hit it with the same spray..going to leave them alone the rest of the day n see if they look any better tomorrow or friday
