Cal/Mag can eat my dirty anus.

Using epsom from here on out. What a fucking waste of money and time using cal/mag. Plenty of Calcium in my water and my C deficiency is caused by a lack of Magnesium. Because they work in tandem, if one is low the other is no longer absorbed and thus you have a "Cal/Mag" deficiency caused by simply having too little Magnesium. Fuck I hate learning!!!

UPDOOT - Plant Health

2nd day after feeding and the girls seemed to have stopped their fussing. Will be feeding next watering as well to see if I can f it up again. Join me at the end of the week where we will get to see the disaster that these girls do or don't turn into.

UPDOOT - Plant Health: So far, so good!

Plants were fed 1/2 dose of fertilizer every feeding this past week. Plants have slowed down quite a bit on their drinking and are drying out every 3rd to 4th day instead of every 2nd to 3rd day.

Overall the plants looked like they've been roughed up pretty good but have stabilized and should make it to harvest thanks to help received on RIU.

UPDOOT - Progress?

Hans Down & Cakepop crosses doing okay.

I-2

I-1

H-1
20220218_181236.jpg

Didn't get a shot of H3. But my favorites are at least here. H1 has this gassy/fruity smell and great frost and is my favorite of the hansdown. I-1 is my favorite from the cakepop cross.

Decided to go ahead and start the next round of train wrecks. This time using Vashon Seeds, "Peanut"(Old Island Indica x Highland Afghan)

Breeder info:
Indica. Thick buds on a small, heavy, branching plant that tastes like peanut butter. Harvest window 60+ day (obviously subjective).

For being my 2nd grow I am finding lots of variables from plant to plant. Most notable would be the fact that the Hybrid, #HansDown, are finishing up faster than both Indicas.

By the looks of it I-1 won't finish for another month yet while the others will be ready in about 1-2 weeks. H3 being ready first, then H2 followed close by I-2 and I-1 finishing last.

This seems to go against all the research I have found regarding Sativas taking longer to finish than indica. Perhaps because it is a hybrid it may have been crossed with a fast flowering indica? Who knows.

Overall Flowering times:
H1: 10+ weeks
H3: 9+ weeks
I1: 12+ weeks
I2: 10/11 weeks

I will be able to tell more as time goes.

UPDOOT - Plant Progress | Week 11, Day 1

The plants are still moving along. Gonna take this next week to finish off I-2. She's looking fairly done. 75% of pistils have receded, calyx are swelling and she's starting to look creamy.

I-1 & H1 both are going to take another 2 weeks or so. I feel like the Indica will finish after the hybrid by a good half to full week.

Asked around and H1 seems to be ready for harvest. Thank goodness, the waiting was killing me. lol

Not horrible for essentially a noob. I could have done better but meh, next go I can apply what I learned. I will report numbers when things have finished drying.

Anyhow, here she is in all her.... whatever this is. :blsmoke:

UPDOOT - H3 Yield

Well, it is that time. Kinda bummed but for the problems I had and being fairly inexperienced I guess this isn't horrible but it sure isn't what I wanted for yield.

H3 Yield - 28.9grams | 1 Month Veg | 200w Light

If yield remains the same across the rest of the plants that will put me around .56g/w

That's pretty poopy. The others are still drying so there is a chance I may have hit .65g/w but that also is quite a poopy result.

Next go I will either reduce plant count and increase veg time OR I will keep plant count and increase veg time. Fairly certain I can run another 2 weeks veg with the same plant count (4) but I will need to scrog. I really want to increase veg to 2 months but am unsure of what I can do.

Idk, gonna have to think about this for a bit.

After taking a look at the root zone of each plant it is understandable why the yield was so low. I transplanted from a 1.5gal to a 4 gal and just about immediately went into flower mode. This was bad for many reasons but the one I had issue with most was lack of root growth into the 4gal space. Looking at the roots, post harvest, the lack of growth was VERY noticeable. Little to no roots on the exterior of the the soil plug and just a few stringers at the bottom. I could see the 1.5gal root ball more than anything. The 1.5gal had great dense roots where the finishing container had just about none. I think I will try the 4gal again but this time the plants will be transplant from solo directly into the 4gal container. Will try a 1 month veg one more time to see what I can get for the little bit of veg I will do. Hoping this was the big culprit for such low yields, outside of the 200w light, genetics, deficiencies and less than 2 month veg.

UPDOOT - Final Weight

H1 - 37.5
H3 - 28.9
I1 - 41.8
I2 - 43.7

Total Yield - 151.9g @ .76g/W

Next go outta be better. Transplant early and into a larger container to avoid deficiency and to provide a better established root system going into flower.

"Bigger Roots, Bigger Fruits"

Let's see if I can get this yield increased. Next round will be "Peanut" by Vashon Seed Company. Hoping to double the yield from this grow. I will still be utilizing a 1 month veg. If this next grow goes meh, I will up the pot size and veg time for the following grow. (Very Berry Kush)

This was the Peanut & Very Berry run. I call it: "Hammered Shit"

Left for a couple weeks and forgot to water to saturation before leaving.

Finally yield, 6wks veg/scorg, 352g under 400w of light. Not bad considering they made it through their life in my hands.

Sorry I missed the updates throughout it. I'll try to keep up with the "Horror Show" In this next grow, Lucky Lime x Xmas Bud. Cross by @Useful Seeds

Apologies in advance to Useful for what I'm about to do to his lineage. :eyesmoke:

LUCKY LIME x 79' XMAS BUD
BREEDER: @Useful Seeds

SOIL: Re-amended FFHF with 25% homemade ewc, and 1tbs/gal of 4-4-4 by some off-brand. (Bat shit and some other crap) Just water until saturated then wait till dry at the top inch or 2. Continued this until 2nd week before flip. Re-amended with 6tbsp/gal homemade ewc and watered in to saturation.

POT: Fabric(generic), 5gal

LIGHT: 4-100W @Maxsisun

TENT: 4x4x6 @Acinfinity

VENT: Basic oscillating fan that halfway works but still works well enough to keep using. Also have 4 - 4" PC fans running on the drivers of each light. (You can see the enamel wire running back/forth in the pictures)

HUMIDIFIER: Some old thing I had. It's a wicking type. Too stoned to remember the actual type atm.

GROWER: Someone who probably shouldn't touch these beautiful plants but does anyways.

VEG: 2.5Months

-First couple of images were taken at the end of week 1-ish (early flower)

Now we are nearing the end of 3rd wk. I'll post more when I'm there. Clones are doing going. One was well rooted and subsequently transplanted to a solo cup to await the other 3 clones. (Aloe rub and into a cup of water under a cheap T5) Aloe doesn't seem to work any different than just plain water. I assume it's to keep the cut from bacterial rot. Not sure though. I'll have to read more on it.

UPDOOT:

Well, I missed all the photos again. I do have some flower shots after harvest. This plant yielded 4-1/2 qt mason jars. Didn't weigh it. I just know that was a good yield for me on single 5gal plant. Enjoy the pics.
