if youre not noticing the buds getting more moist or moisture on the jar, you could start burping about ever two days. then after a few burps like that do it every 3. after a few burps at every three days you can start leaving them sealed up. id still burp about once a week just to be safe tho.

I hang dry until my stems bend and crack a little but don't snap. Then I break down into smaller nuglets and those go into a paper bag for a day or two and then into jars. I burp the jars once or twice a day for the first few days and only once a day after that. If you notice condensation in a jar or the buds feel more moist than when you put them in, it's OK. Just leave the lid to the jar open a little longer when you burp. If the buds are obviously still not dry enough to stay in jars then lay them out to dry a bit more and check them the next day. I'll cure anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the buds. Slow and steady is where it's at. Have patience.

Thanks. I may have been leaving them open too long, up until today (jarred last weekend) I was opening them under an overhead fan for up to an hour. Maybe I'll just open them briefly every other day, rearrange the nugs and close em back up.

temps are huge in drying. If you have a drying space that is at a constant 65 degrees F and 55% RH with a slight breeze, and then you have another dry space that is at 75 degrees and 55RH with the same slight breeze the latter will dry more than twice as fast. Why? Because the actual volume of water that be held by the air is more than doubled between 65 and 75 degrees. With some circulation added the warm temperatures literally carry off more water from the surface of the drying plants. That being said though I wouldnt dry any hotter than 78 degrees, and slower seems better as a general rule.
