They get away with things because they pay lawyers a lot of money to make sure they can do the things they do without getting tossed into a slammer.

I doubt that it matters to you, but they legally bought a bunch of toxic debt for pennies on the dollar after the crash to do just what they did. It is shitty, but was in general legal.

Are we? Jon Oliver identified out a good point. He said something to the effect that the Democrats could impeach Trump, have multiple crimes brought out, make the Republican Senators go on record as excusing them by voting against impeachment and yet still lose the election if the Democratic candidate accidentally calls a veteran a veterinarian.

The most progressive issue, the issue that is on the top of my list of things that the country can do to move in the right direction is to throw Donald Trump in the slammer. The way to begin truly holding politicians accountable is to punish them for their crimes. Until a president can become a prisoner, I don't believe a word that a president says. That is a human who cannot be held accountable for their actions. I think Harris is the woman who will make it right.

Funny you are quick to name Nancy Pelosi, she has been very direct in her criticism of him, she has not pushed the boundaries of breaking the law like Trump does with his obstruction. Being bound by rules against a cheater is not instantly gratifying.

You just ignore facts that don't work for you eh? Harris was a STATE prosecutor, the bank Mnuchin ran was under FEDERAL jurisdiction, Harris could not do anything about it.
