whats up rollitup? I am just about to finish up on my first grow and I wanted to make sure to harvest and cure correctly to make my finished product taste great. I have been using the foxfarm nutrient line up until this point along with hornsby's big bud, but am going to start flushing with water, and keep giving it molasses every other watering. IS this the time to start flushing? The buds are really looking great and trichomes are still clear, maybe a little cloudy. She is lst'd and has so many colas, where two towering ones outstretch the main cola. My question is: when is the optimal time to harvest to get the best buds and should i start flushing now?

pic 4: shot of the main cola budsites
pic 5: tops of 2 sideshoots towering above thick, main cola

any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated

In my humble opinion, When you have done 12/12 for 7 weeks, it is time to think about harvesting, but never before 8 weeks. It looks like all of your stamens (hairs) are still very white so it is not time yet. When yu see some stamens change color, that is when you get your $9.99 Radio Shack lighted hand-held microscope and start looking at trichomes. ( go to HARVESTING at GROWFAQ at the top left of this page)
when you see some red stamens and some Amber colored (beer color) trichomes, it is real near time. Then FLUSH at least two days, and also consider putting them in total darkness for 48 hours.
