Harvest or Wait!?!? Northern Light x Big Bud Fem

Hey dudes and dudettes,

I've got a Northern Lights x Big Bud that's at day 70 of flower. They say it takes 8 or 9 weeks to finish, but I know that's a ballpark estimate. The hairs are turning red, but they are taking their sweet-ass time. Also, the trichomes are mostly cloudy, but very few are amber and I feel like it keeps spitting out new clear trichs.

I don't want to miss the "ripeness window" and 70 days already seems pretty long to me.

What do you all's expert eyes tell you? Chop or Wait?

Also, since flipping to flower this girl started to produce 3 buds and 3 fans leaves per node. I mainlined this beast to produce four colas, and it's the same with each one - 3 buds/fans per node. Anyone know what's up with that? I'm not complaining as I'm guessing it will result in more bud, just unexpected. If anyone knows a trick to making plants do this, let me know!

Thanks for the input and the complement! This is my first grow using Advanced Nutes' Iguana Juice and the results are much better than the General Organics stuff I was using.

I agree, she seems like she could go longer. But its my first time with this strain (free bonus seed) and needed a second opinion.

I third that, hang 10, check it in a week. When it's ready, you'll know. At least you know to look at the trichs, so that's good. Bud also looks killer- was surprised that somebody who looked like they knew what they were doing was asking this, haha I'm guessing you're in soil. As far as the finishing quotes you get with seeds go, I always add a week to the longest period they say and that's in hydro which can be quicker than dirt. For dirt I'd add 2 weeks. I figure they say 9 weeks and it's harvestable- but for peak strength and perfect time to harvest, a little longer by 7-10 days in hydro. I do like my 10% amber, 70% milky, 10% clear trichs though (or somewhere around that). That's gonna be killer smoke, congrats friend!

Yeah, I'm growing in a soil/coco mix in smart pots. This is my third grow so I'm getting the hang of it, but still don't have an eye for when to harvest. Probably chopped both my other two grows too early. Still did the job tho Grow, learn, repeat...

Nice lookin bud brah, I'm growing the exact same thing at the moment 6 weeks into flower, beautiful strain hope u get a nice smoke frm it

Happy Friday! Well it's been a week since I posted my question, and I'm glad yall convinced me to wait. The buds didn't pack on much additional weight, but they are definitely more "ripe". Below are pics taken when I moved them from the tent over to the "dark room" for 48hrs of lights out. This is by far the frostiest plant I've grown. That said, I have a super lemon haze going into week 12 of flower and it is down right mesmerizing.

Anywho, here are some pics...

These are the full shots, front and back. Tallest cola is just over 3'

Here are some shots of some lower buds. In the second shot you can see what I was saying about 3 bud/fans at each node. Again, I'm not complaining!

Well, that's all folks. Soon this girl will be stripped, chopped and hung out to dry...
