I have some questions about this dual output ballast.

First of all, has anyone tried this product, or any other dual output ballast that can light 2x 1000w at once?

According to the specs, the power consumption on this it seems like it only uses 1000W at 240V like a regular 1 bulb ballast. I am not an electrician, but it seems like if it is lighting x2 1000W bulbs it should be using 2000W of power. Does anyone have any knowledge on the power consumption of these kind of ballasts?

Any info will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Bump for response ... does no one have any knowledge on these ballasts? Should I try a post under a different subject?

i'm guessing it's a bit of shady advertising. Not what I would expect from greners tho.

IF it actually runs two bulbs it would be pulling two thousand watts.

I doubt it tho. I'd like to hear anyones input on this too

The ballast is legitimate I dont have any idea why you say it only uses 1000watts
Its a great magnetic ballast and uses about 9.5 amps at 240 volts thats 2000 watts or 19 amps
at 120 volts This ballast is 240 volt only

Well i'm sure he'll be thankful for your response. but your post is a bit contradictory. Yo said it pulls 19 amps @ 120v and then go on to say the ballast is 240v only?

Do you have one?

I assumed he saw the amp spec at 240 and was equating that to amps at 120 volts thereby
giving him the assumption it is only 1000 watts. People forget 10 amps at 240 is the same wattage as
20 amps at 120. I dont have one but sunlight has always had the best magnetic ballasts.
