Hello guys and gals thanks to all of you we have grown (after many many issues which you folks fixed rapidly) an almost done White Rhino. we are two weeks from Harvest according to the dates I added only water starting yesterday. My question is her trich's are still very white, what happens if on Sat. Jan. 5 she isn't ready according to the trich's? Btw Thanks again to all the people on here who have helped!!!!:peace:

Morning friend. Are you refering to the hairs or the trichromes? The hairs start out white and turn red. The trichromes start clear and turn cloudy at peak.

Hey there nice looking ladies.. I take it you are checking the trichomes with a microscope right? In the next 2 weeks, watch them every day they will change. Igf you are feeding just plain water fo sure. I like mine cloudy, with a hint of amber on most.:peace:

i'm not a regular fixture here, so take this advice as it comes. The trichs will turn according to the maturity of the plant, but in my experience with safron is that they turn fast, and they continue during the curing process. GO with your dates and just check regularly, i try not to cut early although sometimes, once or twice, to many of the hairs just get too red for my liking and down they come. (I figured i forgot the maturity date)I've also found a different feel and taste of the final product when cropped too early or too late. To late makes me sleepy, to early makes me wonder why i didn't have more patience.

i firmly believe this is from the type of smoke not when it was harvested.

clear is weak
cloudy is better
almost all amber best

all amber = you were too late

people tend to harvest early never allowing the proper bulking and maturity.
after you flower a few times take slected samples every week you will see how the body and arona can vary from week to week.

then i believe you will leave the plant to continue growing. remember that the bud add a ton of weight in the last 2 weeks.
