Harvesting after 96 hrs of darkness

Of course there is no scientific proof on many things related to the Mary Jane. It is one of the least researched plants in the scientific community because it's illegal. Give it time. In the meantime, trial and error is the only way to verify things of this nature. I myself find the 3 days provides more aromatics. No dissertation, just an observation.

Hey man I just joined too. I do this same thing in my room. I call it "Ripening Stage" I however do not allow my plant to drought and lose its fan leaves like that.

My Ripening Stage goes like this:
Flush with gallons of water equal to gallons of soil.
3 days later I remove the plant from the room and place in completely dark ripening room.
Ripening room is cooled to below 55 degrees.
Plant is left for 3 days.
During this time I pull off most of the large fan leaves to prepare for trimming.
I have also moved my next set into the bud room during this time.
Plant can last up to a week in a cooled ripening room without drought.

Thanks for sharing your photos!

Oh didn't even see the debate.. Of course darkness before harvest is important! and there is plenty of scientific reason to back up the method. I am kind of a nerd when it comes to studying things which are my livelihood. I will not go entirely into it because it is rather in depth, but I will post the article as soon as I find it.

There are two chemicals.. one produces THC, the other destroys THC turning it into another chemical compound.. I think CBD... Well the one that destroys THC is powered by photosynthesis, but the one which produces it is not.. So the final THC count is a little higher due to the extra boost in the long tug of war game going on throughout the plants life.
