Harvesting. Lights ON or OFF??

So, Im just wondering what every ones input on ideal harvesting time was. Right before the lights come on, when the lights first turn on, when the lights are on, when the lights just turn off, or when the lights have been off for a while. I currently have been harvesting when the lights are off right before the lights come on as per jorge cervantes and the medical growers bible. I had a friend grow outdoors during last summer and produced some amazing stuff but theirs was cut in the day. but still amazing flavor.

Cut before the lights come up..... if the plant begins to photosynth, it will draw up sugars and starches from the roots and you'll have to cure those out for a smoother smoke.

i'm guessing with the lights on ..cause u need to scope the trichomes before you harvest..and you need to trim the budds right??

If you have a scope then you should now how close you are to harvest, it isn't too hard to tell when its a few days away.
Studies have factually shown that thc levels are higher during the dark periods, which is the reason behind alot of people giving their plants 36 hours of darkness before harvest, it pretty much allows the plant to do one more last spurt of resin production.

Personally i harvest at the end of the light cycle for the day. Just for the final hours of growth. During the curing you'll leech out the chlorophyll normally anyway..

But it is a totally subjective decision I think. Plus when i harvest i find that I'm not so strict on my lighting anymore. If my lights stay on an extra hour or two So what...; normally the plant is ready anyway and should be harvested within a few days. Unless you scrog then you may want to let the undergrowth grow out another week or two like I'm doing now...
