Sweet lookin plant man but its not done yet. I'd wait another few weeks. Flush and stop adding nutes 2 weeks before harvest.

Looks good! I think, in my newbie opinion, that u need some red hairs to determine maturity... Of course I could be wrong too. Lol

The plant is a high sativa strain and those long white hairs lead me to guess that it will take over 60 days to finish. I feed up until 1 week before I cut but I also use a clearing agent. Absolutely keep feeding your baby cause she is looking great.

red pistils are only a small indication that the plant may be ready, trichromes are where you need to be looking,a mix of cloudy/amber is the ideal time

keep feeding for another week then use only water for 11 days and then dont give it anything for the final 3 days. everyone has their own schedules but they wont diff much from the one i just stated. peace

Here are some pics of the harvest I am currently in right now. All one tree though I grow six at a time every 3 weeks, but maybe a good example of what to look for in a finished plant.

Definitely not done, I would only flush for 7 - 10 days, so if I was you I would start the flush around day 60, and let the plant run up to 70 - 75 days.

You're not wrong per say, some people will only pull based off look of the plant and color of pistils, but a more accurate way of course is using a magnifying glass to look at trichomes.

So the fact that it is sativa dominant isn't what leads you to believe it will take longer than 60 days, but the white pistils? Funny. I do agree with your flush time though.

Yes, you should feed your plant up to day 60 and then start your flush, pull on day 67 - 75.

Here's my input on when you should harvest http://http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1529.htm. Its all about the trichomes my fellow grower, the more you know about glandular trichomes the better you can tell when to harvest! You can tell when to "start" flushing with the trichomes as well but definitely at least 7-14 days is good. Plant looks good though, hope this helps!!

I personally have a high sativa strain that finishes in 45 days.. but the likelyhood of a sativa strain taking 80+ days is very high.. however due the appearances of the pistils on this particular plant, I am guessing based on my experience that he is looking at between 60-65 days until harvest. Honestly, flushing is unnecessary (though I do it), it is only a safety precaution. As long as you stopped giving nitrogen long ago and have yellowing fan leaves you are golden.

ok so its like day 45 now. i usually give nutes like once every other week. so ill stop like day 53 or something. my other questions is
when flushing do i flush one good time with tons of wateR? or do this for many days with tons of water.
Also if i am reading right u guys agree like for 2-3 days dont give water or nething before cutting?
thx just clearing it up in my noob mind
P.s. if my baby is sativa dominant that means i will get a head high right! id love that im sick of being a couch potato. ive rested enough in my life

I'm sure people will disagree with what I tell you because most of the people on here learned everything they know from blogs and forums. However, I do have a pretty high grow level and run a professional grow organization which produces extremely potent medicinal herbs of the highest caliber. With that said, I cut out all sources of nitrogen at week 5, at the start of week 7 I use 2 ounces of clearex per gallon and water in one gallon per plant. I wait a couple hours and then flush with gallons of water equal to gallons of soil. On the third day after this my plants are usually totally dry, the plant should be light when slid across the floor, at which time I remove the plant from the room entirely and place into a cold and dark as I can get room. This frees up my bloom room for the next line early and allows me ample time to trim. The plants can last up to a week in this room. only improving in quality.

Yes sativa dominant means head high and you can increase this affect by harvesting as early as possible and removing the plant from the light and heat as early as possible without being premature.

I move my plants out of the room with about half of the trichomes showing milky. I do not wait for ambering other than the occasional 1 here or there.

Hey Learn2grow, Plants look great, and you obviously know what your doing!

Let me ask you a question though: If you were not growing for a living/business......or if no money was involved, Would you still "cull" them or harvest in the same process or time? Or would you wait, and leave them under light longer, possibly look for more ambering and trics? Thanks Bro!

Funny you should ask that, because all of the pictures I have posted are from my personal grow here at mi casa, off of two HPS lights or more accurately a 10x10 4000 watt room split into two harvests. My actual operation I have not really mentioned much purposefully, but it is much larger. I still perform the same type of harvest here at home because it is honestly far more efficient. I cannot imagine cutting the plants directly from the room and trying to move in my new line and trim all on top of eachother. I always wait for the plants to be totally done before I cut but I find that placing them in the dark actually helps them to finish. I cut at about 10% amber trics. Hope I answered all your questions. Thanks for the compliments.

Flushing is done in order to allow the plant to metabolize it's own stored sugars. The smoke will be harsher without a flush, that is indisputable.

And what is your explanation as to why a dark period at the end of harvest increases the "finish"?
