Harvesting pollen question

Oh yeah. I cut 4 tops off the male I had growing outside and have them in a glass of water under a couple small lights in the bedroom closet to collect pollen. Not sure what I'll use it for as it was supposed to be a fem auto but neither autoed or femmed. lol.

Ah, no idea then, ok.. fuck flour then.I've never added flour or corn starch to my pollen. I hear that's what a lot of people do tho. I just keep it in drying crystals for a few days with the lid off the vial then cap it and keep it for later use. I've got pollen that must be 15 years old now and should see if it still works. lol

Just make sure it's good and dry so get any bits of any flower parts that are in it before drying. Should keep for 6 months at least and I know there's ways to store it for longer but haven't really looked into it. I always get enough to make thousands of seeds when I usually only want a few dozen.
Millions of potential seeds in that 5ml vial.

Ok, I won't use flower then, good to know. Ill just do a few grains of rice. Thank you all for the info and experience with the males (giggle). So it can be out drying for a week in dry conditions and still be good pollen right? I am a bit relieved, now im thinking since the plants are indeed part female from the change over from male to female, that i might get some trichomes in with the pollen once i harvest the pollen. Trichomes might have moisture in them? mehh, maybe the will be dry like the pollen, I guess time will tell.

Trichomes are little balls of oil so should have next to zero water in them. They don't call them resin glands for nothing!
