Harvesting then rinsing off meldew?

Sounds pretty lame but I tried it on one cola and waiting it see how it drys.
Anybody ever wash off their picked bud with water for any reason ? I put it immediately above a electric heater and fan. It seems damp the next day but isn't all new bud damp at this stage. It's been asked before but are the issues of smoking white mildew different from those of mold as I have one plant that has a fair amount of it and have not had luck getting rid of the white powder at this late date.

Use hydrogen-peroxide is natural, and wipes out mildew, molds, and fungi. Just wipe down with a moist cloth the area's you sprayed about an hour afterwards.
