Ok. So i am going to Harvest one of my plants in two weeks. I just want to make sure i am going to do this right. I am going to cut off water as of tomorrow. Then i am not going to water for 2 weeks. I will then cut off the branches and hang them for a week then i will Jar them with opening the jar a cpl times a day i will do this for a cpl of days or until i think it is nice and smokeable. Did i miss anything? I know i did not mention pruning. Please let me know if this is right way to do it. Thanks

all that sounds right I'd reckon its a good idea to just chop the girl at the base of the stem and hang the whole plant upside down for a good week or so and then you manicure it to your own personal preference then you do the mason jars. Depending on how dry you like your buds you could do it for a good 2 or 3 weeks. It also depends on how patient you are. for the small nugs you will be able to smoke them in around a week or even less but the larger denser buds could take a while to cure.

All sounds good to me aside from a couple things. Hang for a week sure but sometimes it takes less sometimes more. Take a small stem and break it, if it naps there ready. The other thing I have done and seems to help is right after you take them down toss then into a paper shopping bag for a couple days before jars.
Then the longer you keep them in jars the better. I have some thats a year old.
I think the cure to the best smoke in about 2 months. You only need to open them during the first week or two if they smell like hay.

I agree with others...not watering seems cruel and unusual. I water mine every other day with pure water and a little molasses for two weeks before harvest.
Why would you stop watering? What purpose does it serve?

yea just water it and another thing is ive found manicuring fresh cut buds much easier than hangn em first but i guess that may just be personal preferance and you could make hash for while yer buds dry and cure

Maturity is best discerned through a microscope.
Trichomes(The little crystals) show they have just passed their peak when they start to brown.
Most growers wait for this tell-tale sign and harvest afterwards.
Some wait until a few turn brown, others wait untill half turn brown.
It's up to your preference between high and stoned.
Good luck and keep the scissors down for now.
