I've wanted to do this for a while now (grow both versions) to see wich is best. Sounds like from your report sannies version is about as good as the original. Maybe i'll just skip the test and stick with sannies gear to avoid the rediculous prices sensi charges.I've grown out Sannie's Jack, and still do. This is the F5 NOT the current F6 being sold. Results should be the same I'd assume. Flowering time for the pheno we kept is 11 weeks. The Jack Herer we grow from Sensi seeds is also cut at 11 weeks. We've been growing the Sensi version much longer, but i must say, if i had to do it all over again, I'd start with the Sannie seeds if price was an issue.
From a pack of either Sannie's or Sensi's, you'll most likely find the "perfect" pheno for you.
As for the yield, i can't toss out dry weight numbers at the momment, but both versions are about the same.
These plants are grown side by side and fed the same nutes in a Aeroponic setup. They are fed VEG nutes for the first 3 weeks of flowering. Yes, 3 weeks into flower they are still feed VEG nutes. Our Jack is feed "lightly", and i wouldn't even try pumping more nutes into it. It seems to work better for us.
Clones are easy to take and start in an Aerocloner. We haven't used seeds since starting production from the original seeds we got.
I'd suggest growing with SCROG. The more support and seperation the better. The longer you veg, the larger she'll get. She gets tall if you let her, and if you have the height, let her grow. The more "hands on" time you put into this plant the better it will be.
This is one of my favorite smokes hands down. Excellent wake-n-bake or late afternoon bud for me. Great bud for doing something fun or "mind exploring". I often roll up a few fatties of it and smoke it while camping or hiking. 12 hours in mother nature with Jack is a wonderful experience. If i was lost on an island, I'd smoke Jack all day long. Doesn't couchlock ya at all.
The Sensi version seems to have a bit more of a head buzz than the Sannie version, but like i said, we've been playing with Sensi's for a lot longer. I've got both in my stash and smoke a bowl of either basically everyday. Usually a bowl or 2 and I'm good till it's time for the nighttime bud. Then i usually pull out the Kush.
This strain is part of my "Primo Stash", and only smoked with the finest of friends. I can see why this strain fetches big $$ in the shops. I wouldn't go without it. I know 4 other people who say the exact same thing.
If your looking to have a good afternoon/evening, try my approach that I do/have done:
1-2 bowls of Jack, followed by 1-2 bowls of OG kush or Star Kush, then when your ready to chill for a bit and ready to sleep, fire up a good bowl of Herijuana. I'm done, GOODNIGHT.
Regardless, Sannie's are good people, and the Jack is primo smoke. Take lots of care and pride in this crop and it will reward you BIG TIME. Find your perfect pheno and keep it going forever.
Sannie's has some wonderful strains. I give thumbs up to: Sannie's Jack, Motarebel's Star Kush, Sannie's Jack Berry, Herijuana and KO Kush. Haven't tried the others, but they are on the list.
Just cracked a couple of the fem Sannies Jack - this post makes me thrilled for what is to come.I've grown out Sannie's Jack, and still do. This is the F5 NOT the current F6 being sold.
