Has anybody put plants closer than 15 inches to a 1000w hps?

Anybody ever done this without burning the plants? Whats the closest you have put them in your experience?

When i was using liquid lumens i got them down to 10" but started getting bad light bleaching nso put them back up to 18-22"

i use 1000watt lights.i personally wouldnt get em much closer than about 12 inches off the tops.they will burn.

I get bad light bleaching any closer than about 14"..................................my shit runs cool, I can leave my hand on the glass lens of my hood....so what I get is not heat burn but blotchs on the fan leafs..

running mine 14 - 16" and not a problem
with 650cfm thru 8" blockbuster hood I can touch the bulb and not burn
