Has anyone defeated powdery mildew?

It better be that good for that price lol View attachment 4582484
Unless you are growing like 50+ plants at a time, a quart will do you....I used less than a half quart in one grow....20 medium size girls. Then also buy a quart of Venerate and you won't have to worry about bugs either!! Watch some of Marrones videos...It's widely used in vegetable production these days.

And the Regalia makes plants thrive and grow, bigger and better. It really will pay for itself in added production. Gonna be spraying my girls in veg later today, and I sprayed my girls in flower up til about week 4.

Regalia will not work well for existing infections. It is more of a preventative that boosts the plants immune response to make it more resistant. Best to use something to knock it back first like Stylet Oil or Suffoil-x, then Regalia is used for weekly maintenance.

Done or constantly applying that shit?
Why is it shit? Because you don't know about it, or just you don't like it? Have you even researched it?

It beats the hell out of smoking weed with pm and / or bugs, and they have a version specifically for weed....CG, aka cultivated garden. Like I've said before, it's like a $2 a week all natural vitamin for your plants. And after trying literally dozens of other home remedies that didn't work permanently to rid pm, this one did.

Also it does nothing for areas you can't get the product on, so big trees like mine you can only treat the easy to spray areas.

It's actually a preventative....you should watch the videos. You don't have to use it as foliar, it can be applied right into the soil.

I'm telling you, this is not your typical snake oil! Watch the one video I posted, at least...

It's only translaminar (not systemic) meaning if sprayed on top of the leaf it will protect the underside but NOT areas that weren't sprayed. I did read about it.

But hey if it works for you great. I just run a sulfur vape in my flowering rooms when they are empty and in my veg room every 6 months or so as a preventative and I never have PM. I have had PM and the sulfur vape is the only thing that can really clean a room from top to bottom and really end the struggle.

I won't start a new grow room until it's been vaped.

Regalia is good for outdoor where you often cant run Sulfur burners. If PM is a recurring problem indoors its likely your environment not in check. Big swings in Temp/RH can cause the spore to germinate among other things like bad watering practices/poor air flow/etc.

Hey all, I've been having ongoing issues with powdery mildew for months now and can't figure out how to stop it.

My basement is old (more like a cellar) with water channels built into it to carry water to the sump hole. As a result there's often small pools of standing water around that I believe are a breeding ground for pm and other bad stuff.

Despite the roughness of the basement temps are humidity are pretty stable. Generally 45-55% humidity and around 72-76f temps. I also installed a cold air return down there so fresh air is constantly brought in and old air moved out.

Since the PM showed up one day I've tried many of the solutions recommended online. Sulfur spray, h2o2 and neem had seemingly no effect.

Potassium bicarbonate (mixed with veg oil and dish soap) worked OK, but the pm would come back in 5-9 days.

Lately I've been making lactobacillus serum and spraying weekly with that. I didn't see ANY pm for a few weeks so I assumed it was working and decided I would just spray it weekly as a preventative, but last night more pm showed up 6 days after spraying.

I'm at my wits end and considering just shutting down at this house. I could have lived with spraying every plant weekly, but every 5 days or less is just going to be too much.

Has anyone here actually defeated powdery mildew? Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Also if there are any good scientific resources on PM eradication that someone could point me to that would be great as well.

Thanks!
spray more than once a week for a couple weeks and spray a bunch use like a half gallon per 4x4

Yea see my grow is in a house and I'd never use a sulfer burner in here, but I did get rid of pm without a sulfer burn. My conditions haven't even been ideal...My RH is running about 50% in the flower room it's been so humid here, and that's with a dehumidifier running 24/7. But there is absolutely no sign of any pm....harvesting now. 6 different strains. All beautiful !!

And again, it doesn't need to be sprayed...It can be applied as a root drench. Which makes me think it is systemic. But I mix up 2 quarts in a 1 gallon pressure pump sprayer and spray. The whole process takes 10 minutes, at most. And the next day the plants are 2" taller in veg.

I'm still experimenting with it. I may not use it in flower at all next time, only in veg. I just know I don't want pm again...it cost me dearly!! I'll gladly spend $2 and 10 minutes a week to prevent it.

Yep, whatever works.... without killing anyone preferably :bigjoint:

A lot.

Another nice thing about Regalia over Sulfer, is it won't kill you, like sulfer can, or burn your house down.

"Of particular concern is a device known as a sulfur burner (figure 2). This device utilizes a heating element to melt sulfur pellets, which in turn produces sulfur dioxide (SO2). SO2 functions as a topical fungicide to prevent powdery mildew from forming on the plants. SO2 released within an enclosed space presents a serious hazard. When SO2 combines with water, the reaction yields sulfuric acid (H2SO3). As our airway and lungs contain water, inhalation can result in internal chemical burns. "

I know they can be safe and useful IF used correctly, but recommending a sulfer burner to someone not experienced could be fatal...Just sayin'.

In fact, I bought an ozone machine to combat pm and will not use that in my home any more for similar reasons. They can also do a number on your lungs. Yep, for me a few squirts of Regalia, Venerate, and silica protects against almost everything of concern. It's so much easier to prevent than to try and deal with a problem after.

And lastly, you can't use a sulfer burner in flower or your buds will smell like rotten eggs.

Well stay vigilant and don't miss any spraying. The PM will always be there waiting for you to miss an application.

I just read an article that tied pm issues to humidity. According to article they eliminated pm from their grow spaces by running 70% in veg and 60's for flower. I will try to find the article again and link it here.

Not true...I only used it twice in flower, at week 2 and week 4, and I'm in week 9 now. Next grow I'll probably skip it all together in flower, becaues I really don't like putting anything on flowers even if it is organic.

But I do think you are right that pm is always there waiting...It is everywhere, some say!!
