Has anyone ever gone from Jiffy Pellets to Rockwool?

I wanted to try and test this out for my next batch and was looking for a few tips on this. I was wondering if this works.

My plan is to go Jiffy until roots are poking through netting then transferring to a Grodan BigBlock etc...

that would work. i use jiffy pellets to clone from then to coco. but you can go to any media you want. why didnt you start in rockwool if your planting into rockwool.

I have grown Rockwool to Rockwool, but I prefer the vigorous growth the Jiffy Pellets provide from seedling and clone and the ease of use rockwool provides for root/air factor. I just wanted to know if this could be accomplished or if the peat moss would somehow mess up the rockwool.

I know someone who has used clones which where started in jiffys and then placed them in vertical rockwool slabs from Grodan which are called v-slabs. His system is a vertyical grow like " ecosystem ". He noticed that if his roots where long enough and sticking out of the jiffy that he would have a higher rate of success ! But if the clone was rooted but the roots where not sticking out soo much that he would loose a high percentage of them. His conclusion what that jiffys hold a LOT more water than rockwool and that his roots were drowning in the jiffy. You see, rockwool needs to be water a lot more ofter that jiffy, and if your roots are not long enough to go and dig into the rockwool , they will drown in the jiffy !

What do u guy think ???
