Has anyone grown out R4 seeds? (cbd)

do you have clones avail ?
Lets all understand the with a high cbd variety one will NOT experience a "knock-out" type effect. More like a comfortable feel at best no psychotropic effect.
Of R4, ouR14er an s1 of Greenwerks R4, is well underway to creating multiple hybrids and further S1 from this individual.
The hybrids include both high cbd and high thc. Another few months before they are available.
No males either. Makes it easier for some

Peace

you would have been a lot luckier if one seed had been male... j
Hey, I'm happy either way. I have twice the meds for the next year than I would have had one been a male, and a good chance of cloning in the spring. I agree, the other way would have been great to have a male and beaucoup seeds too. I assume somehow, seeds will be available soon.

I just did an extraction of R4, QWISO'd four oz. The wax is a deep amber color, no heating over 100°F, from fresh buds. I was just surprised that it was that dark, other fresh material is much lighter, towards yellow. Maybe it is the CBD instead of THC content that makes it so. I was also surprised at the yield, perhaps is just the Indica strain, but a five foot plant, at six months old, yielded only four ounces. My Sativa-dominant strains at that age are 2X+ as large with 6-8X the yield. Is this normal for Indicas?

No it is not normal for indicas to perform like this. These plants are just slow and difficult. Nice pull though.
@Strat1953 please dont openly ask for clones/cuts/flowers/plants on these boards man. Quick way to get banned. Contact me through pm

mine were almost eight months old. the trichomes doubled in the last three weeks but i cut because of the frigid weather that moved in. the plants were not happy and stopped growing with the cold so i cut them. got just under a pound of dried bud.

nice looking plants. i pollinated with a jar that had a tiny bit of pollen but won't know if it took until i go through the buds. i have a few clones that look nothing like the mother, they are bushy and tight with a stout main stem and no yellow so far (i have been trimming to make it bush out) the one in front is a kandy kush, the two on the sides are r4. going to take the plants through the winter by cloning. jimage.jpg

@orellej - It's easy to tell if the pollen has worked it's magic or not, within a few days the 'hairs/pistils' where pollinated will start to shrivel and turn orange or red ;-) good luck on the project :peace:

has anyone had any luck with pain relief from their r4? i vaped several hits and nothing so i smoked half a joint, got a slight buzz, not good. no effect on my back pain. what seems to work best for me is kong but it makes me high so cannot use during the day. my plants have lots of trichomes half milky, half clear.
i don't get it. seeds came from greenwerkz.

ACDC front and center? Plants look over watered. My ACDC yellows and drops leaves no matter what, and gets mad purple just before harvest.

after seeing the mutations on the r4 stock i think a better option from a horticulture standpoint is the sourd x cannatonic from resin seeds.... it has tested 11%thc and 14%cbd .... got seeds on the way from spain...

So after speaking with DR. Cohen of HOLOS Health in boulder, most folks with pain etc, are NOT really going to benefit from this type of plant. Save if there is epileptic or nerve disorder. Genera pain is not going to be helped greatly. a 1:1 will be more effective. You will get better results physically and mentally with these types. I have created a load of hybrids of med varieties to other med var. and med var. to high THC drug var. as well.

Best of luck to you all.

" Save if there is epileptic or nerve disorder."
excuse me but what does that mean? it's good for nerve disorder or it doesn't help?
i have used r4 before and it made the pain turn to a rubbery feeling. i hurt my spine skiing and it is sending nerve pain down my legs. this just gave me a low grade buzz, not pleasant, like i didn't want to go to safeway and deal with that circus. currently taking lyrica which is awful and thought the r4 would be able to replace it. lyrica is for seizures, abnormal nerve pain. kong, caramelo, afghan kush work well but can't use in the day.
did a neighborhood cannabis exchange and now have 13-14 strains. found out most of my neighbors have been growing in secret for years. pretty funny... j

or you can make a hybrid right in the pipe bowl. i took a pinch of the kong to go along with the r4 and they seemed to really compliment one another and the pain was gone. come to think of it, my pain has greatly subsided since harvest and using daily, like it has a cumulative effect. i could barely stand long enough to wash dishes last year, blinding shooting pain down my leg just 1 1/2 months ago, two weeks after harvest... anyone know if that is how it works? that is how the lyrica works, builds up in a few days or weeks and then goes to work. j

sound like you guys are just the type for R4/R14, ACDC, the wife. You guy would probably benefit from growing these.

@jellero i was meaning folks with problems due to jacked up nerves...could also be from say a ski injury. who knows? point being chronic pain due to nerve damage may have similar positive effects as the epileptic finding relief from seizures. Not a whole ton of research done to my knowledge. Good luck to all growing these med varieties.

lyrica works by calming the part of the brain that sends pain messages and cause epileptic seizures. i need a strain that does that and thought r4 was the answer. then again, how can you tell if it is working? the pain goes away? i skied today and feel pretty good, better than when i just hang out and do little. will just keep working on it...

Got our share of CO strains that say high CBD and R4 was great (have just a little left) while it lasted, but have read Greenwerkz really dropped the ball on R4 and I'm pretty much stuck with claims and no source of R4. Pew.

so it worked for your pain? what type of pain? did you buy at greenwerkz or grow? please elaborate. j

I don't have pain per se, but it helped with mild neuropathy in the feet and hands and to sleep until morning. Greenwerks. Tried to grow from a found seed, but it died (see previous pages here).
