wouldnt water curing remove some of the water-soluble Polyphenols and turpenoids? (taste and smell elements)

I know that with "Bubble Bags" or "ice water extraction method" alot of the taste and smell is removed from the hash, whereas sifted hash is more smelly and more tasty.
