Has it decarb'd yet?

You could of just left it in the alcohol for ten months...the alcohol decarbs it in the same way the oven does but it takes a while could of been ready probably alot sooner...if you left it in the 151

But yea I probably wouldn't ingest that.

that's exactly what I did. left it in the alcohol for 10 months. But why not ingest it?

you mean there's a possibility of mold/bacteria/something harmful despite everything being fully submerged in alcohol?

I thought you said you took it out of the alcohol if you left it in there then yeah it's definitely decarbed but with the plant material sitting there for that long I don't know it's a good possibility for spoilage especially with 151 that still has alot of water in it...I'd love to see a picture if you have one...

Yea looks pretty good strain it and try it out...usually sombdy with no tolerance can give you a good idea of how strong it is...use a dropper and START SMALL... especially if somebody has a low tolerance
 
I tell you this with caution especially if you haven't got high in a while but...you can concentrate it by letting it evaporate...the more you let it evaporate the more potent it becomes...but I warned you...and becareful giving it too people with little or no tolerance...

Thanks, I'll definitely be careful but I was asking more about the safety aspect as far as bacteria/mold/botulism/spores etc. Can a visual check even be enough? Thanks again
 
I’m sorry. I don’t know about the bacteria.
But I wonder if you allowed that to evaporate fully. You prolly would have some narly resin left

Okay so the guy who taught me how to grow mushrooms taught me to treat it the same as if it was a food item...for example if you see a bad place on a apple or banana are you gonna eat it ? No ur not (I hope not atleast lol)...if you see mold or a unidentified white or green coloring on a apple or banana you know not to eat it...but if every looks and smells okay then normally it's okay to eat...

Yes this is how you make RSO (RICK SIMPSON OIL) FECO (full extract cannabis oil) But op used 151 which has a high water content...so it's possible but will take too long to fully evaporate...if you wanted to make the oil extract your best bet is %99 food grade alcohol or the closet thing to it...which the easiest to obtain would be everclear which is idk like %95 I forgot it's been awhile since I've done this...I use to put it in syringes
 
When you evaporate it down to a sludge you have to add a carrier liquid something like MCT coconut oil works great it keeps the resin from harden up in the syringe making it impossible to dispense...I think I did something like a 20:1 ratio...so for every 20 ml of oil I added one milliliter of MCT oil...I can't remember so research recipes before you do it....BUT THIS SHIT IS NO JOKE...my gf just tasted it one time and she had a full on trip...I mean she just licked it to get a taste she didn't even ingest it...so that should give you a idea of how strong it is to a new user...something you KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN forsure!!

You know if you had that jar sealed I'd almost be willing to bet you got some good aged product lol I'd use it asap THC degrades over time usually a 2 year shelf life fr the harvest date is pushing it...if you evaporate it down don't use any heat and I'd say u got something to be proud of...I never had the patience to let it decarb without heat...but because you didn't use heat...you probably didn't lose any THC. Heat also degrades THC and the precious terps...Id strain it...keep half for now and let the other half evaporate in a pyrex dish

Calm down tiger. It didn’t just come out lol. And I still don’t put anything past rosin or waxes Those make the most sedating effects IMO

Yea but you can't ingest rosin or waxes...FECO/RSO is basically edible dabs...and if you decarb the bud you could press edible rosin which would be the creme of the edible scene
