Has my crop reached maturity at day 50 flowering?

Hey everyone, before I start I want to preface this by saying that I know flowering usually takes at LEAST 60 days to complete, regardless of what the breeder says. I have been planning on waiting at least 60 days just for good measure, but now at Day 50 I believe that the plant may be ripened and ready for harvest. Firstly, I have been doing trichome checks for the past 2 weeks or so with my scope, and today the trichomes seemed to be mostly cloudy but I saw an isolated few that were a dark dark amber. I also saw a few that were clear looking. I am aiming for an upbeat cerebral and cloudy trich high, so I do not want to let the amber trichomes get out of control.
Secondly, over the past 4 days my main fan leaves have been progressively yellowing and wilting. The leaves that surround the buds and even the fan leaves that aren't as big look totally healthy, while the big mama leaves are pale and brittle. I have read that this is also a sign of harvest.
I do not believe that there has been much development in the past few days.
This plant is a bagseed, so I have no idea what the suggested flowering time is. It looks to me like an indica dominant hybrid, but I am a total noob. Is it possible that this plant is a fast growing auto flower or something like that? I treated it as a regular fem and 12/12 was effective in inducing flowering, but I cannot be totally sure. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!photo_3-1.jpgphoto_2-3.jpgphoto_1-3.jpg

Make sure you are looking at the trichomes on the calyx and not on the sugar leaves since the sugar leaf trichs will turn much sooner than the calyx.

By Calyxes do you mean the flower in general or the pistily hairs? My buds just kinda look like big lumps of intertwined pistils and heavily coated sugar leaves. It is hard for me to tell if I am looking at sugar leaves or the flower

sorry to say but these look horrible..if its bag seed you probably have weird genetics......because of the low light.....the plant metabolism is way slower than usual....which means you need to feed it less.....looks like your over watering and giving to much nutes.......when around %60 of the trichomes are amber/pepsi color then its time to harvest. also when the plant is towards the end of flowering..it naturally starts yellowing in the big fan leafs....this is a sign of being close to harvest.

I will check the calyxes, thanks for clarification!
BUCannabis-
I haven't been feeding it at all really...at least not in about 3 weeks or so. The plant looks the way it does because of lack of light and because it had a very weird seedling/beginning veg phase. For the first month of the plants life it had completely insufficient windowsill quality light for only a few hours a day. It is my first grow and it started as nothing more than me saying "Im gonna germinate this seed and put it in this cup with soil from my garden". I wanted a hands on learning experience so that I can do better on my next grow. I then moved it into semi-sufficient light (125w CFL) where it began to grow at a reasonable pace. I spent about 60 dollars MAX for the whole setup (everything from soil to lights). I wanted to prove to myself that I could grow something before I dropped a bunch of money on a HPS, seeds, and other expensive stuff. I am totally aware that 125w CFL is completely insufficient compared to HPS and MH lighting, and I know that I drastically decreased my yield, but Im a college student on a budget.
Now that I know I can grow something (even if you do think it is horrible), I will put more time and money into my setup.
Also about the color of trichomes, I have heard from my caregiver that waiting for 50-60% amber trichs would not give me the high that I am desiring.

I pulled at about 5% amber, but I am growing an indica so it is not strain that is geared towards an energetic high. I would say if you want a head high, grow a sativa strain.

Yeah I would have liked to have grown a sativa strain but I wasn't really thinking about it when I got really stoned 3 months ago and planted this seed unfortunately lol. So you think this plant is mainly a sativa or an indica, idk who to believe at this point haha!
Despite the negative things said, I personally think its a pretty good plant for a first grow with limited money/resources.

I just checked the Calyxes and there are a few ambers, mostly, cloudy, but still a few clear so I definitely want to wait til there is no clear on the calyx. Thanks for the pro tip!!

You will always have some clear since it should continue to develop trichs, I went for 5% or less clear and I didn't want a lot of amber since I will have a long cure.

Some people do staged harvests like that, and they report success. I do not know though, for me it would seem that the stress from a partial harvest would slow the rest of the plant down. if you are 80-90% cloudy you may be fine to harvest now or do a partial. Next grow with some bigger lights will get you more dense buds and a bigger harvest.

Usually with a partial harvest they are collecting top buds that are "done" and leaving the lower premature buds on for longer to ripen up. It works for my veggies and fruit trees so maybe its fine for MJ.

gota stop putting canna on the pedestal lol its a very hardy WEED! . u can stage harvest no problems. ull get a better yield usually also.. some people do it.. some don't.. me personally I used to do it.. then I realized it didn't really make the buds get much bigger.. just ripened them up. so id rather go a little longer on the entire plant.. and cut it all down.. the day u harvest.. should be a veryyyy hardworking day.. u should be cutting down.. and refilling the room the same day.. this is how u keep buds around no matter watttt. but iunno .. say my flower time is 8 weeks.. I usually go to 10. just personal preference. im down for my indicas to be couchlock.. and my sativas to be not so uppity.. I like my weed strong.

a ripe plant should look ripe, these don't look too bad considering that the lighting wasn't perfect
but the plant doesn't look ripe, the fan leaves should look drained to some extent
it takes time for a cure to do its job, but a small sample is better than nothing, a vaporizer is good for wet or partly dried weed

DUDE ... your plant looks good for a first grow but it does also have some MAJOR ISSUES! The yellowing fan leaves are from N deficiency. Yellowing fan leaves is NOT an indicator for harvest! A HEALTHY plant SHOULD have dark green leaves right up to harvest. Most people flush for the last 7-14 days ... this results in a nutrient deficiency in the plant and it will consume its nutrient reserves in the fan leaves. This is beneficial because it means less "green" taste and a shorter cure. Give that little lady some nutrients ... just not too much!

Your plant is most likely preping for its last "swell" and hardening .... this is the most important stage for both size of yield and potency.

About early cropping buds ... it is no problem doing so, just do it with caution. Take only 1 cut per plant/cola branch so you dont stress her out and cause a stall in bud growth.

Just remember if you take buds early they will end up being about 30%(size) of what the buds looked like on the plant(70-80% loss!!!), where if they are fully ripe and hardened they will only shrink 20-30% through drying. Crop early if you have to ... but it is a HUGE WASTE of potential and veg time!!!
