Hash Making Techniques

Looking to see how everyone makes their hash. Ice Water Extraction, Butane Extraction, Silk Screen...etc. Also how do you press your hash into slabs and the other idiosyncrasies of hash making that are rarely discussed. Only discuss techniques that you yourself have tried and found successful. No one wants to waste ten pounds on an urban legend. They need a hash making forum header on here. Hash Heads Give me your secrets.

though id get this started...good idea
i made some iso hash from trimming and stems...i used 97% alcohol put cutting and stems in jar with enough alcohol to get right below the shit...shook for about 45 seconds and strained through mesh coffee filter thing.
i got a nice thumb nail size ball....one hit and im good for a while.

no i have not...that sound like a pretty good idea...but i heard that if you shake it or grind it up to much you run a risk of getting lots of plant mterial in your product

i got a huge sack of trimmings but no blender how do u chop yours up and how fine

actually...most of my trimming were chopped in nice little like 2 inch or less pieces...the huge fan leaves i just cut in half...and the stems i just broke in half. i think also if its ground up to much you get a lot of cloryphill(spelling?)in with it too.

I have kiefbox, so if i want hash i can take kief, which i gather also in lid, and compress it, then bend it, stick together and compress again and so on layers. If you want it to better stick together apply more pressure or u can heat it a bit so it melts together.
Kiefboxing has a nice feature, u dont lose the bud or trims in the procces, u can still smoke the bud and u can still use the trims in making canna-butter and let your imagination do its own, or you can just smoke them.

ya...you have to let all of the alcohol and water evaporate....just let it sit out and dry and then scrape it all off with a razor

Tranquility I have to say that alcohol extracted hash is one of the dirtiest hashes to make. I know you said that you evaporate out all of the alcohol, but you dont worry about fillers affecting the taste or leaving behind unwanted chemicals. Do you filter through active carbon? I make BHO and although 5x butane is fairly clean I still run it through active carbon filter and then suncure it for a full day and then in the oven for 20 mins on the lowest temp. Just a thought.

MMS I use a piece of silk screen and a colliendier(strainer) and some coins to make some pretty quality hash. I grab a strainer lay a piece of silkscreen 4 times the size of the strainer in the strainer place my trim and coins inside the silk and hold all the corners together while I shake the strainer over a large bowl to collect the kief. When the kief weighs 5 percent of the weight of the herb used i take that kief and put it in a piece of cellophane. I wrap the cellophane into a tight cylinder and use a small piece of cellophane tape to hold it together. I then wrap a pice of thin cardboard around the cellophane roll and secure it with another peice of cellophane tape. I then soak the carboard in water till it is nearly falling apart. I preheat the oven to 220 degrees F and put the kief roll in the oven. After 25 min i pull out the roll and roll it out as hard with a rolling pin as I can after it seems sufficiently rolled out i put it in the freezer for ten mins. Then I take a razor and cut away the cardboard and cellophane and am left with a bar of quality hash
