Hate to do it, but do these look in the harvest window?

First grow, these are three different plants. 11.5 weeks since flipping and starting to look kinda rough.

Definitely should’ve added supports, the buds were on the small side so I didn’t think they’d need it.

like once a week I’ll touch a bud and smell my hand, and it always smells awesome but this time they actually smell more done. It’s hard to explain but instead of having an intense sharp kind of smell it’s now more deep and rich.

Oh thank god.

I was figuring 9-10 weeks when I started and now I’ve got some clones getting a little big waiting to go in there lol.

Finally a should I chop thread I can say yes too.

Congrats. You are the 1st one this year.
Thanks man. There are so many threads here that make me wonder if they’ve done any research whatsoever. Just straight white pom pom buds asking if it’s time to flush.

Now I can move on to stressing over drying slow enough :bigjoint:

That smell your talking about is truth.

Ripe
That’s what made me post actually. I was going to give it another week or so before asking but the change in smell this morning was pretty drastic compared to like five days ago.

Good job!... drying: slow it down as much as you can control. 65 degrees/55-60% rh for a couple of weeks, and you'll be golden!

Thanks.

yeah I’ve been taking a couple branches off some little autos I have and experimenting with drying over the last few weeks.

I’m in the desert so it’s like 110 with 8% humidity right now. So far five days is the longest I made it before needing to jar them but I think I’ve got it figured out now. My current test batch is on day four and still staying around 80% on the hygrometer when I check them and I’m able to keep the temp around 73.

These are seeds from an accidental pollination with layer cake and chocolate nightmare. I have five and two of them turned solid purple, one is still green and the others kind of in between where they get color where the light hits hardest.

The color was a pleasant surprise when it showed up like 8 weeks into flower.

I tried a small box and then also double bagging with lunch sacks but both were five days and done. I think part of the problem is I was only using like 10g of bud so it dries fast.

right now I’ve been keeping them in a little tub I use to grow shrooms that’s modded to have decent airflow but keep high humidity. I’ve been having to open it and spread the buds out to dry for a few minutes each day but now I’m five days in and they seem to drying at the right pace. I’m shooting for 10 days minimum.

Don’t get mold bro. That weed looks sweet Don’t fuck it up. That would be a damn shame. Just hang dry and try to battle your environment best you can. Don’t jimmy nothing up. If it sets in 5 days. Big deal. Use the time of your next cycle to figure that out

Nice work for a first grow, have a read up on curing buds.

They get better with age, and u have cuttings too, exciting times ahead, good luck with the next one too.

Yeah mold is a big reason I’m doing small batches with the other buds.

this is five days in I think it’s gonna be a perfect method

I’m all set for curing, plenty of jars and mini hygrometers plus some 62% packs for long term.

some of the earlier buds I did that ended up dried too quick are actually pretty damn good now after three weeks in the jar. The first two weeks the high was good but the smoke was kind of harsh and didn’t taste great, but after two weeks it got noticeably smoother every couple days.

i smoked some hash I scraped off the trim scissors last week and that stuff had me flying. Like so high I had to go lay down and still felt kind of off the next morning.

definitely excited for a month from now when this ripe stuff is decently cured. The way the earlyish buds off the cbd cheese auto hit me, the properly ripe and cured bud should be perfect.
