Oh that's an easy one to answer, because Peace isn't free. There are many others out there that want what "we" have and are willing to take it from us and in order for you to enjoy that freedom, some of us decided to voluntarily give a part of our lives in order that you won't have to.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all veterans from all former wars. Freedom isn't free! If it wasn't for veterans we wouldn't be enjoying all of the things that we are now taking for granted. Regardless of how people feel about the current war I am 100% behind our troops. They are laying their lives on the line of us daily. God bless 'em. You don't see any punk ass gangs out there defending us.

war is bad. the only good thing that comes out of it is the technology that we all get to enjoy a few decades after its introduced in the wars. and the technology usually just makes us more decadent and obsessed over instant gratification, so even that can be debatable.
