Just curious OP it looks like you topped quite a few spots as well.

Did you do everything at once or over time?

What week or node did you start topping at?

Well I’m actually asking because I have never topped an auto so I was curious what you did there. I like the structure of the plant and I was wondering what steps u took to get it there.

If I’m honest it was probably luck and learning on here I topped the main steam and then a week later gently bent them down

You topped the main kola and bottom branches- that is high stress training which stunts the plant. With LST you bend the entire plant over and use wire or whatever to pull branches down like you did. You have a combination of LST and HST there. They do look healthy but are a bit small for day 35. This was my grow this year at day 35.

This is my best picture of LST. Every time I watered them I tied the main kola to the bamboo stake. See how the canopy has a very even height? I didnt even have to tie the branches down on that one, I just bent them a few times throughout growth.

If I have stunned them that will affect the yield??

Man those pictures looked great. I could tell he topped them (HST) that’s why I asked. I don’t know if it was luck or great planning but they looked like some good spots. I know you’re not supposed to HST autos but I just finished a couple grows and didn’t top them on purpose. A few ripped off on accident. The plant seemed to recover very quickly but that was only one spot.

I’m still learning I have a couple of other plants I’m not going to top them and see what method works best

Topping typically will reduce the overall yield of an auto. Saying this will probably start a heated debate here but thats what I believe to be true. Its ok though, you learn as you grow. I didnt top or train my autos at all my first grow and I got 3 ounces each average but it was one nice big top and a TON of popcorn. This grow i have all nice big juicy kolas. Autos run on a genetic timer so any physical damage you do (topping) will slow them down and you cant get that growth time back.

Looks more like you manifolded it ... Autos hate high stress training as they cannot recover that quickly as a reg plant.
Stunting is a possibility as it may think it’s damaged . Autos are plug in play , plant them and let them be.

However there are methods to “ shape “ them .... simple tie down. “ Some “ autos can be topped ( once ) but not all.
Stalling an auto leads to less than stellar yields as it tries to limp to finish , some never move and have to be forced flipped.
Autos just want to grow and flower under its OWN schedule , muck that up with stress , overwatering, overfeeding and other shit impacts it.

Autos take approximately 5-6 weeks from germ to head to transition ( sex ) and preflower , screw up their already short veg stage and it reduces the final yield. Many growers run a long initial light cycle ( 24/0 - 20/4 ) to bolster that short veg cycle to get it to root and structure as best it can before next stage starts. The old saying about AUTOS ... “ Once you pop them , you cannot stop them “.
