Have my plants turned Hermie??

Hi folks

i am new in growing, did my first successful grow with blue cheese, and got 15 OZ of four plants under 600w.

started my second grow from cuttings i made from a mother-plant which i made from feminized seeds. the strain is white widow big bud cross.

first set of cuttings i got from the mother plant the grow went well apart from i found 15 seeds in about 10 oz of weed across 8 plants, although i checked all plants (with info i found from net) and there were no signs of plants going hermie although not 100% sure if they did, i also removed to many fan leaves from these 8 plants to let light penetrate to the bottom of the plants, hence stressing the plants and causing seed production.

now i have made 9 cuttings from the same mother plant, no fan leaves pulled or caused any sort of stress to the plants, i am see small balls around the colas and balls around the smaller nugs some have hairs sticking out from them and some dont

also i removed one of these buds and opened it, seems like they have what looks like a shell of a new seed

are these just new bud growth or turning hermie??

please help thank you

I don't see any balls... however those calyxs sure do look pollinated. If you have a hermie the balls will open up into flowers (if you want to call them that) that drop pollen like a mofo. I don't see any in those pics though.

how sterile is your area?
Could be pollen inside previously, which would explain a few seeds in your last batch, maybe just a little got to them later in the cycle, where this one looks like it already got pollinated...

Other thing is the mother could be the problem, if I read it right its all cuttings from the same source?

Either way, I would recommend doing a thorough scrub of the inside of your grow area, if not now before you put anything else in there.

thanks for the help guys

yes they are all from the same motherplant, i suspect the motherplant is the problem.

after doing further research, decided to take all the plants down, and fully disinfect the whole room/equipment and start again directly from seeds.

great lesson learn't, you cant learn if nothing goes wrong;-)

thanks once again

thank you for the great response, am pretty sure these plants turned hermie, they were 4 weeks into flowering, i opened the calyxes and they had what looked like the start of making of seeds, ive now chopped all 60 + plants and vacuumed and sterilized the grow tent, to late to go back if they wernt :wall:

the grow tent was new, so i dont see how pollen could have gotten in there, i suspect the motherplant to be the problem if they were any, also on other forums WW x BB strain seems to have bad reviews for taking clones of motherplants, alot going hermie i hear.

for future reference, all calyxes have inside of them what is basically an unfertilized embryo of a seed. it's about the size of a dried sesame seed, sometimes smaller

you will know true seeds, as well as pollen sacs, from these in an instant when you see them

I had the same issue, or what I THOUGHT was an issue. Turned out its a seed pod without the seed. Normal as can be. Please see my pics below.

Exactly! I couldn't of said it any better

I cant believe the shit read on this site.

That is clearly a hermi or better yet a male.

It's not swollen calyx .

Here is why . You say you are 4 weeks in. Your hairs are all brown from being pollinated.

At 4 weeks you will NOT have any swollen , blistering , exploding calyx.

WW x BB is a terrible strain for hermi's. They usually are visible around week 4 or 5 to the average grower.

My advice is to never grow this strain again . Also if a mother give's hermi's once it more then likely will always do it .........so kill it.

Bleach your room and gear top to bottom and start with a new strain.
