Id cut now before your whole plant is mold..
My buds started to rot too a couple weeks before I harvested. Buds were still okay. Just had to trim around it and throw bud which was a shame.

Man this year I got 16" stretches of cola that are almost entirely rotten down the middle.... Rot is way worse than it shows since it goes from the inside out. Once you see some on the outside you def have problems inside.
Harvest ASAP and salvage what you can.

is bud rot mold? if you put the rotted bud in a jar it would turn everything into mold? its not the same as caterpillar eaten weed they look the same to me. i always smoked the caterpiller eaten stuff cause you can pick it off the plant and it would already be dry.

This late in the season its almost a must to have a few tarps or clear garbage bags. I used a clear tarp for 2 weeks and that kept em warm and dry.

Yes it is mold in a way its basically decaying matter that produces mold. Also when the caterpillars eat up your plant they usualy shit everywhere and that shit will cause rot or mold and possibly turn a whole stash. Dont jar that stuff with all your other dank. Keep that seperate or i guaruntee it will rot and turn to mold. Not good smoke in my book.

Hello, this is my first time growing - I have 6 plants and I think 2 are ready to harvest. They've been growing outside (UK) since June (planted indoors in May) and I spotted some bud rot this morning so am in a panic and would like to harvest these 2. Or should I move them away from the rest for a few more days? Its sunny today so they should dry out ... not sure what to do. Maybe put them in the shed (which has glass all round) overnight? If they are ready I will just harvest them now..

We're supposed to get rain here tomorrow. It's been a drought where I'm at this year so the one good thing I've gotten from this dry condition is rot free weed. But now I'm getting worried. They are in buckets and only have 6 more that haven't been harvested.
Should I just say fk it and throw them into the basement for a day? It worries me throwing them in a darkened area for a while day. Our should I chance a tarp? I'm in a non legal start so need to stay out of sight
Or am I just overreacting? Should I just chance the rain and hope they dry out with no problems? A few more are very close to harvest but two or three are a few weeks out.

If you are finding bud rot... I would harvest.. It multiplies quite rapidly in the right conditions.. if you wait, it will spread!!
That stuff turns buds into mush.. from the inside out..

That's what i
that bud could easily go another 3 weeks.. try to hold out as long as possible man, you want all the hairs to be orange and dying off. that's when about 20% of the trichs are amber.
Thats what i thought looked like it has a ways to go. Still white pistols standing straight up

Unfortunately I'm having to harvest early. A few days ago there were a few bud rot spots on my Chruch's, today they are 3X as many and a few main colas are under attack.

The shitty part is the weather turned better 2 days ago, 80 degrees on my patio and sun and it's supposed to last another 3 days. Still the night time humidity is 85-95%, even on clear nights and in takes until noon for the humidity to clear. Even if i bring the plants in, I'm dealing with 60% humidity...

Looking at the trichs, what do you experts think...I'm about 1 week early?? picture 4 though 7 is of the outbreak

Any advice before I chop these guys up?? Any opinions on potency
I don't get mold, but I do get caterpillars... I just pull off the dead buds, put it in my vaporizer, look for the caterpillars, then relocate them. I can't bring myself to kill the cute and cuddly backyard pests :\

Chop it, things will only get worse my friend. Your better off biting the bullet and cut your losses or in a week you might not have any weed to smoke.
This. I found bud rot on a killer landrace sativa guerilla grow. I let it go after trimming affected areas, it spread regardless. It's internal, systemic. It sucks really bad. That rain and humidity do the trick if prolonged
