Have to harvest early, will covering plant early everday accelerate flowering?

I am growing a single female dutch passions holland's hope, a 8 week flowering indica/satvia hybrid, which is suppose to finish by the end of September or the first week of October. I have to leave for school around the 23rd of September though, give or take a few days, which will only give my plant a 5 week flowering period (It showed pistils on the 15th of August).

I know an early harvest will reduce the yield and the potency of my smoke, but I really have no choice. So I am wondering if covering my plant a few hours before dark each night and removing the cover in the morning would accelerate flowering and thus not harm my harvest to the full extent that pulling it a few weeks early normally would.

In any case, if I choose to do this, how would you recommend covering the plant from sunlight? The plant is around 6 feet tall right now, surrounded by plastic fencing tied to poles made from dead trees. I was thinking of maybe attaching a garbage bag, which has been torn into a sheet, to the top of the poles. My plant has already grown taller than my fence though, so I would probably have to put a taller pole on the inside. I am however, open to all and any suggestions. I am sure someone else has tried to do something similar before and would like advice.
