Having alot of trouble cloning.........help...

when you cut the clones off, are they suppose to start wilting?
and is it ok to use starter A-OKPLUGS?

when you first take the cuttings put them in water until your ready to submerge and cut your 45's. I found that when you clone with plugs, rockwool, or soil you need to have your cuttings in a terarium of some sort. they wilt do to losing water as a natural process of making food. Your best bet is to buy/make a bubble cloner. when your plants are in a bubble cloner they tend not to wilt as much and in my opinion root in half of the time as the aboved mentioned. So............... here is what I do............I pick what branches I want to take off for my cuttings. I then place them in water until I am ready to cut them into lil babies. submerge under water and make your 45degree cut. Take out of water and put it in rooting hormone. put it in your plug and let the bubbler do the reast. In about a week you have lil babies to have fun with. Or you could judt take your cuttings as instructed and place them in a glass off water with the stem submerged, change the water every few days and 2 weeks or so later you'll have clones. But if your using plugs dirt or rockwool just follow the cutting procedure and place them in a humidity dome and spray them often. the key is to not have them lose their water 90% humidity was ideal for me. Keeping them warm is also one of the most important things to do. get a heating pad for your clone setup.

I use wet soil for my clones. (poke a hole in it for the stem).

Use the lowest nodes from the mother plant (when they have around 4-5 sets of leaves) and remove the lowest sets of leaves.
Scrape the sides of the stem and split the bottom of it.
Dip in rooting hormone powder and shake off excess.
Put in the hole in the wet soil and pack soil around the stem so it doesnt fall over.
Trim the tips of the remaining leaves so the plant doesnt lose as much moisture.
Cover the plant with a plastic bag to retain humidiy and keep in a 24/0 light (not too bright).
Keep warm 80-88 degrees.
Keep the soil moist and in a week, you should have roots.

cut the clones under water than hormone it without getting any air in the cut and they will wilt till about day 3 and then should get some life into them you can always cut the end of the leafe flat so it wont lose to much moister

cut em off, stick em in a glass of water, put that in a warm funny location.
in one week you will start to see roots. let it sit in there till roots are an inch long.
then put them in soil. foolproof way to do it.
Oh, change out the water twice a week.
just put the glass under the sink and fill the water till it overflows
the glass and run it a bit longer to "cycle" the water. that way you dont
disturb the starting of roots.
