Yeah I do the same with a half pot with 50/50 mix ffhf/strawberry fields and half pot of ffof with 25% perlite because shit drainage on the ffsf...then kelp/mag as needed...and top dress with ffof or bone meal in flower.

Pardon me for jumping in here, but your comment made me do it. I’m in day 30 of an auto grow...2 plants in 100% Ocean Forest. I started in solo cups and moved into 3gal smart pots on day 13. So some of my OF is 30 days old, but the majority is only 17.....I wish I’d just started in the 3 gal pots but I didn’t.
U were saying that you added nothing until week 6, then only topdress with more OF.....so u don’t give any nutes aside from what’s in the amended soil??
Has this worked well for u in the past??
I have been wondering how I’ll know when the OF tank is empty and it’s time for me to feed.....but your way sounds much easier, provided the results are there. Can u fill me in?? I’d really appreciate it, and I need all the help I can get. Thanks

100% I followed his basic setup with what I could get locally for myco's and amendments.... and the bud came out pretty killer. And it was easy. Ph water in to the soil it comes from the bag with... 6.5.....Throw some calmag at it to combat the led lights....some kelp to keep other things topped off and roots strong.... top feed early flowerish with ffof and with myco's or recharge, jobe's 3-3-3 or dr earth dry stuff..... ez pz

My method is a variation on Budzbuddha's. I oversimplified it here, but read his post as others have mentioned and I think you'll like the results. I've been very happy with HF overall and use OF sometimes too, just not for seedlings.

Yeah it big, high risk high reward. Shit could get too hot quick...idk during the winter i cant get my room above 81-83...so i haven't had a chance to try it myself, but it looks significant

i had ilgm gorilla glue autos... and they got root bound a bit in a solo cup in 7 days, i just plant directly into 5gal fabrics now to just avoid any problems....so...right into ffof/ffhf/ffsf soil mix with perlite of course throw in some jobe's 3-3-3 with mycos...Ive not burned them once, just go really easy on water for first week, then you can bring it up a bit after. 200ml or something....idk all soils drain and react different, strawberry fields has awful drainage, but its great for being there when they start to flower...im trying something a bit different everytime i grow... right now i got budz og mix... i.e mostly ffof and a mix I saw somewhere else that people were hyping... so we'll see! keep ya updated.. also water is half dose calmag... and full dose for 1gal neptunes 0-0-1 kelp ph 6.3-6.5
