Havng trouble with coco mat.

I am starting my first coco grow and the first round (perpetual grow) is going great.
I have 3 trays with 3 separate reservoirs. The first to be started was OG Kush and it looks fine, great in fact and is moving along fine. The second round in is Sour diesel, and it is looking bad. I have three clones that are all showing different deficiencies, One looks like Nitrogen and the others look like Potassium. I am fighting a Ph problem in this second round, the first batch is rock steady PH wise,

I switched the reservoir out, flushed with some General hydroponics flush solution and and still having the same problems. I really and at a loss now and it is hard for me to wrap my head around due to the fact that I have three OG Kush plant right next door to the Diesel that look so happy. Any insight would help

A few more facts:
4x4 tent, all controlled temp and humidity
running flood trays with 3 plants per tray
reservoirs outside the grow room with aeration and cool water temps (69)
600 watt HPS
Running Advanced Nutes Grow Micro and Bloom right now
Flooding every 30 minutes for 3 minutes while lights are on (it fills the trays in this amount of time no problems)

Thanks JR

I am trying to keep the PH right at 5.8 but in the Diesel grow it keeps going up to 6.2 0r 6.4 in one day, not crazy high but I think too high for the Diesel. I was thinking of going out an getting Canna buffer to help with the Ph fluctuation. Again any help would be great, thanks JR

what kind of coco r u using? is it cheap or top of the line? usually you have to rinse the cheap shit, if not that's what happens. I've never grown in coco, but know people who have and sometimes that's what happens. Just hang in there though because it usually get through that stage and the new growth will be ok. I'm hearing coco is the way to go these days man. Coco ddrain to waist vertical, is getting some really good props around my way. Hang in there bro it will pull through..

It's CocoTek by General Hydro, I don't think it's cheap type, The mat is 1 inch thick and pretty bad ass, not too tight weave, it has an awsome amount of air space in the mat. I start the clones in 4x4 cubes of coco. then just place the cubes on top of the inch mat, all in a 8 inch x 4 inch x 42 inch flood tray. I run three of these trays in a 4x4 ft tent. Just so I can do perpetual.

The Sour D's still look bad, they are not getting worse so that's a start. I switched those plants to Canna Nutes, it was my first gut feeling of what I wanted to use for my Coco grow, but I am keeping the OG Kush (that looks good) on Advanced Nutes. So I am still looking for some help in the Coco. One batch/tray the PH keeps going up, the Canna seems to help, even though it drops the PH of my water super crazy, like 2 plus point! but that's another matter.

Why would one tray go all crazy with Ph problems? Is it the light, it is right in the middle of the grow room? or is it just the strain, being sensitive? Thanks I can post some pics but I get that the plants have deficiencies. Thanks for the help JR

and you say your Ph is 2 points high only on one tray? You have other strains of same with no Ph problems?

Well I have a ph problem in one tray of three, I just switched that tray over to Canna nutes. Canna is dropping the water 2 ph points by itself of normal water (I think thats alot) I am bringing all my nute solutions into the right range shooting for 5.7 ph

The bad tray is doing OK but not great, it's Sour Diesel and is not growing well for me.

Any insight would be great...JR

Just to update...Both trays I'm running now are looking good. The Ph problems are much better now and in 5 days the PH will only go up about 3 tenths of a point, bad ass.

The Sour D looks much better and grew 12 inches in 3 days, It looks real thin and stretched. Not the wosts plants I have ever seen, but next the OG kush it definatley looks inferior the way I am growing it. The Sour d is only 18 days into flowering so it will probably still produce for me, we'll see.

For anyone that may have similar problems I would say ride it out it will stabilize (PH wise), I wish ther was more people that have used the coco mat like I do. So far it is working well for me, I am still tweaking the system to get the roots to grow more into the medium and not just through it. I can post pics if anyone wants to see more. Comments welcome ....... JR
