Hawaiian Snow new selection ?

Hope this is in the right section, if not , sorry, an can it be moved to the right section please. Thanks

Was wondering if anyone has tried the new restock of ghs Hawaiian Snow ? On some of their advertising it does say new selection. So i think its the one restocked an released at the beginning of the year an maybe towards the end of last year. Ive seen a couple of very recent pictured off a couple of different growers of plants in heavy flower probably towards the end and they do seem to have touches of purple in the plant an look like a much heavier budding thicker shorter plant. Has anyone tried the Hawaiian snow themselves coming in the new packs ? An if so can you share your experiences. Its a shame if the genetics have changed, although it says new selection, from the small bit ive seen it dont look like it could be a new selection but seems to be a outcross of the most short squat pheno coming out of the old Hawaiian snow. Not too sure what's happened which is why i opened this thread so we can all take a look.
The original genetics should have been either core amnesia x ghs g13hz C old cutting or just straight core amnesia ( for some reason at the time Hawaiian snow was first made a few breeders were calling the core amnesia clone afghan hawaiian. Ghs did it, barneys did it when making their g13 haze aka g13 x amo, and soma did it with his amnisia haze aka amo x g13hz C sativa male along with afew other breeders) crossed to ghs laos cutting which made a fantastic an potent plant. The new one looks like something has been changed for definite, as it dont seem to even have any extreme sativa phenotypes at all now. Any ideas ?

I grew out a Hawaiian Snow from GHS two years ago-it was the most challenging plant I've grown inside because it just never stopped growing. I supercropped it every day to keep it the correct distance from my light, and ended up having to weave it's branches through the other plants in the tent. Honestly, I wasn't very impressed, and it sounds like I had the "old" version if you are correct and they have changed things. There are a lot better Sativas out there.

Ive only tried the old one and it was good god knows about there new selection see ive heard many things regarding its lineage some are convinced its a nevils haze pheno from Hawaii not like ghs described im sure the last i checked it was Hawaiian haze x laos they said it was but im sure years ago they said a different lineage so its a little murky on what it is i just hope they aint ruined it

I kept a cut of HS for a few years that I selected from seed in 2003, and the new version I tried wasn't as good. I only tried one seed though, so that's never a fair test.

The pheno i tried of the old one in taste reminded me of a banghi haze or the old sage almost not 100% but kinda or something with a almost onion funk idk how else to describe it other than herby and sweet and onion almost like not as pungent or unique as say the old shiva shanti garlic bud pheno but still along those lines kinda but a high not a stone so sativa dominant of course

Just bumping this thread. Anyone else tried the newer hawaiian snow yet?
If anyone has a couple of spare beans from packs of Hawaiian snow that are from 2018 or before (preferably from 2007/8 - 2012) id be very interested please. Perhaps depending on how many beans and what phenotypes pop up I should be able to get them in to regular seed form staying true to the genetics and make a batch of regular seeds, of which I can send a healthy amount back to someone who is willing to help me out with some. This might be one thats no longer around in its original version as the new one is very different. If anyone can help and is up for it let me know please.
Anyone have pictures of any good Hawaiian snow phenotypes for the thread.

I have some old Molokaʻi Frost beans. Hawaii snow just sounds like a knockoff name to me
Never tryed the frost myself that i know of any way the old Hawaiian snow was good though but i have heard the frost was one of the good ones tho from Hawaii along with the blood etc shame theres all hybrids mostly now from what i hear there traditional strains are rarer these days on the island's

. Hawiian snow is nothing like the frost. The snow is way way more potent. Alot of those haze remakes ghs made at that 2004 - 2009 time arnt always what they claim to be. Franco told me some of the pedegrees when he was still around and were they came from. Lets just say a lot of breeders share stuff their wasnt much new, they just get creative when trying to sell those things

so in the end. Is it worth buying Hawaiian snow today if you want to get a euphoric high?
