I don't share the 'hate'. The LP's are in an unfortunate position of being under the mmpr in an era of prohibition. If things were different and it was legal, Tilray would be no different than Molson's.

Currently completing a MMPR facility in Toronto, named as RPIC on a project in BC, working 3 days a week growing in a 500 light MMAR wannabe facility, medical/rec project in Oregon, and consulting on a 40 year old family run. 60,000sf greenhouse/farm. I see opportunity to earn at something I love to do, if that makes me a bad guy then so be it. cannabis is the fruit of my labour.....the more cannabis growing I can be apart of, the sooner it will be free.

Everyone, including LP's have a right to exist under legalization. Who give's a shit how shiity their weed is or how much they are ripping you off if you had the choice to grow your own instead. There will always be a market for them, med and rec, and the profit potential is huge, but it can coexist happily with home growers. The problem comes in when the LP's want legal rec mj, yet still want to keep their monopoly on growing. I've said it before, LP's fucked themselves when they fought against mmar grower's rather than joining forces.

Health Canada acted after the Smith decision. The SCOC ruled that it was unconstitutional to be limited to dried cannabis only.

You know what dizzy? I hate the MMPR and the conservative government as much as you do. Having said that, I think we as patients are going to have to get used to the fact that lps are here and are not going anywhere...they are not here for patients they are here for the recreational market that will come with legalization...you are directing your anger in the wrong place...

If you hate LP's you should hate dispenceries too. They are the same thing, except LP's are regulated by the gov. You should be concentrating your hate on the gov, they are responsible for the whole mess. All LP's shouldn't be considered the same, patients need to do their due diligence and research where they get their meds from. If they are public ally traded or owned by a corporation they should be avoided. Smaller family run farms shouldn't be categorized with corporations and be supported. Granted choices are limited right now but hopefully one day the good guys get a chance to prove themselves. I know that the good guys are out there.

I can't remember who it is, but I'm certain he is a former conservative who jumped in early and is involved with tweed, at the old Hershey plant. I will try to dig it up.

Notice, tweed is listed on the tsx. With as a corp is completely fine and justified, however the path to legalization and monopolization are being made.

Absolutely right. That's what I've thought and said all along. You only have to look to Colorado and Washington State to see that we are taking the same path. Our version seems to have more political influence and backroom deals and agenda's than what I remember from the US states. I have absolutely no doubt the CONs are looking at some form of legalization should they cheat there way through another faux election. Even a backwards neanderthal like Harper can't ignore the truckloads of taxes to be made.

Don't fool yourself if mj is legalized for recreational use in Canada the lp system in place now a. Won't work it's just not good enough weed and it cost more then the bm. B. They are building a brand. A brand with a terrible reputation. C.with the lp's in place today at planned capacity not even current capacity they would all sell out in a few days even though the weed is shit. Think people are going to wait months for more smoke when the bm has all you can take at much more reasonable prices? The lp model of business and distribution is guaranteed to fail. Inferior products that cost more run by morons who can't meet demand today let alone when the flood gates open.

It'll open the door to competition, or should, which will increase supply and lower prices. If they keep the current model of 15 LP's trying to supply a whole country, they might as well give up. I like that the LP's who have gouged the sick are building a negative brand for themselves, it will be a great marketing tool for the new recreational growers.

If you can't see the writing in the wall now I don't know what to tell you. Lp system won't work it's based off of people not having any other choice. That's working really well isn't it? Not even 25% of legal mmj users have placed one order with a lp. It's a very small,group of people who constantly buy from them and no where else and lp's still can't meet demand or product high quality meds. If mj becomes legal under the cons other growers will have the same troubles as potential lp's have now. It's a boys club and no one else is invited. The bm will thrive no matter what happens. Do you really think everyone making $$ hand over fist in the bm is just going to stop selling or start selling another illegal drug in its place? This ain't Mexico.
