hmm a plan you say. well a sea of green sounds nice, you wont have to worry about LST or anything just let them all grow. watch nute burn next round cut the dosage in half. im not sure how much you can really plan out. id say take some clones your next grow and get a sea of green goin

besides pigs, and bugs! hahaha
haha, yeah. Things to keep from finding out about growing habits: roommates, bugs, cops, and (ex)girlfriends.

...

Thank you guys for the kind words, your encouragement helps me through.

Yields won't be much - maybe 1/2 an oz dry? Speculation isn't my favorite thing about growing and yield isn't really a concern, i just hope it's gonna be good smoke.

She is a big girl but the only buds that have any substance are the tops. Knock on wood, 3/4oz is the highest i'll be able to go with you but the good vibes are much appreciated!

Okay, here's what I've got so far:

Organic soil is mixed and has been "cooking" for two weeks.
Veg bin is done, this could possibly a great place for a bonsai mom/clones.
SOG does sound good - especially the lack of training - but clones always add another step and lots more time.

Nutes are going to have to be on a case by case basis, or a more specific formula for AACT will have to be created... maybe molasses, EWC, H2O for all teas throughout lifecycle? This would work well with a subcool-style layering of the soil medium.

Over, looking great man. I've been looking for the same tent, seems like gotham/lighthouse is sold out ATM. Have you considered a perpetual 12/12 from seed SOG? Seems like a great way to sample a variety of strains.

I have a suggestion for your teas, substitute pure aloe juice (Lily of the desert) for molasses - a better carbohydrate source on every level.

Sounds like you have a good plan in place for next round oTm! Blackberry! nice... I almost ordered some Blackberry seeds last time, so I'll be watching

...and I wouldn't be too quick to write off getting an ounce or more off of your current gal... she's looks like she has some nice nuggs all over the place despite the burn issues =D

Hello and welcome, Buzzo. The tent is great, I'd definitely recommend it.

12/12 SOG from seed would be awesome... +8 plants in this little tent would rock. Unfortunately, I can't source seeds quickly enough... or pay for them.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Aloe, I'll look into it.

Thanks PTO, I appreciate the encouragement about the harvest. Keeping my fingers crossed!

As for the Blackberry, the genetics are unverified. The source is a plant that went to seed at the old 2kw grow, it was originally from a dispensary. They told us that we were buying "Blackberry Skunk"... whatever that means. I can't find seeds on any seedbank and there's hardly any record of it on the web. This leads me to believe that one of a couple things is the case:
1. it's "Blackberry" but the dispensary added "Skunk" to sell a few more.
2. it's something else, maybe even mexi-brick-cartel-co-shag-weed-seeds, renamed a fancy name.
3. it's actually "Blackberry"x"Skunk", crossed by a local grower.

It's not a very stable strain; a bunch of the BB plants went to seed late in life and there was much variation among batches of 8. This could've been environmentally related but only further solidifies my doubt in its genetics.

Anyway, I'll be happy to grow it. It's a low key plant that produces great smoke; one with which I share a deep emotional history. :bigjoint:

Thanks for stopping in PTO, you're always welcome here.

could you by any chance set up a room or smallish cab to keep a mother? this way you could keep an 8-10 plant sog which would be awesome bro. or if you get regular seeds you could always take a male and pollenate a female to get a ton of seeds, then just use that left over bud for hash bongsmilie

Somewhere on here is a link to the veg bin I built; using this for an SOG is starting to look more and more likely. Perhaps one of the current blackberry plants could function as a mother? Oh man, I'm gonna have to make that bin expandable!

Yes, pollination! At the old grow, we ran some very successful TGA Subcool plants with AWESOME smoke; they are appealing in this context as well (wonder what they'd do under the T5s). This would be a great way to continue the cycle.

Thanks for the tip MSH. It's awesome havin you along.

The veg bin is one of a three pack; another of which holds my soil. The soil that has been cooking in container #2 was moved to another different container all together. #2 and #3 were used to build an addition to the Veg box (will post this when it's finished).

This post is for the organic growers out there.

With the intent of cannabalizing bin #2, I went to empty it and found fungus growing on the soil's surface. WOOHOO! YEAH MICROBES!:hump: Haha, now I understand the benefit to "baking" the soil. This was done in a 45*F garage, you can imagine my excitement upon discovery.

Happy organiGrowing.

I'm very envious of your knowledge with gardening... I'm looking at courses to take that would help. I'm thinking horticulture for sure, but maybe adding in some specialty like biology engineering. Awesome stuff!

Classes rock, personal instruction from someone with experience can be greatly beneficial to any potential grower. Thanks for swingin in, Xoshua.

Here's a long overdue update.

Trichomes are milky and the calyxes are swelling. Nutrients are draining out of the fan leaves, they will soon fall off. She's in the harvest window but i'm gonna try to hold out until a few trichs turn amber.

Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for the encouragement maariic. I'll grab a pic in better light at the end of the week before harvest. Stop calling my lights weird! ;)

Good eye, msh. Don't worry, it's dog hair. We've got a big golden retriever.
