Maybe with small plants that would help but these are 3 ft tall and 40 days into flowering. They're annoying but not really doing any damage. As they live in the canopy and don't use the soil as part of their life cycle I can't see it helping much. Once this crop is gone I'll vacuum the crap out of the room tho I never have in the 15 years I've been growing in there. I just thank my lucky stars that it's not mites.

I don't spray anything on my plants in flower. 6 or 7 bugs/day in 27 plants isn't a big deal. Just a PITA to hunt them down and squish them. I have to check for 'nanners every day so I just keep an eye out for both. They seem to avoid the buds and I only find them on leaves so not worth soaking down the plants for a few spots of bug damage.

The worse part is they are only testing for banned pesticides and not for recently applied dangerous yet certified ones.

That was always a concern with black market weed now we have corporate weed being sold laced with it plus banned ones on occasion. I call bullshit its getting safer under government control and next comes the GMO weed with its half of this and half of that. Our best interest in mind my ass.

The lack of scientific understanding here is stupifying. No animal genes are spliced to plant DNA to make GMO. Selective breeding and grafting are considered GMO. The amount of misinformation being passed off is laughable pseudoscience. Check books ppl not the internet, where anyone can upload anything unchecked. Brush up on biology too

Any off label pesticide use in Canada is illegal so unless its listed AS allowed to be used on Cannabis it doesn't matter if a new pesticides was just certified, if it doesn't list weed as a crop on the label its 100% illegal to spray it/use it Pretty sure the lab test will shows the chemical on the plant and then they can easily see which pesticides contain that chemical.

this is the same reason why it's hard to find Neem for your garden right? The folks who make Neem products need to get it certified as a pesticide in Canada and that costs money is what I have heard.

You can find other sources here, but I haven't found the cake the yanks go on about.

As for worrying about GMO, well can't be any wore than inhaling burn matter into yourlungs

Anytime you make a statement about a product killing something, you have to get it certified in Canada. I believe neem was banned as Azadirachtin was banned in Canada probably because most products stated as being use for pesticide use or they called it a "Plant Wash" or "Leaf Shine" so I thin the gov just fully banned Azadirachtin to kill those loop holes.

You can take water, put in potassium bicarbonate, put on the label that is kills PM and it'll have to be registered as a pesticide.

I'd treat the plants with B-Vitamins and silica. This will activate the plant's defences and cauterise wounds by forming crystals.I'd also use humic acid with my calcium to increase uptake and strengthen cell walls. Healthy plants with the right nutrients don't get pests.

Thiamine does nothing for plants they produce their own in large quantities. Only B that might do something is NAA. You want healthy plants set up the proper environment, learn how to grow and don't over feed or feed them hocus pocus products. Its not rocket science it proper growing skill and proper genetics.

Your misinformed defense of your opinion about GMOs is puzzling to me as you seem well informed about other subjects.

Genetic modification means exactly that. You are modifying the genes that affect how a plant or animal grows. When you selectively breed plants or animals you are not modifying their genes but selecting the genetic expressions that you prefer and breeding those particular plants or animals with their mates that exhibit the same favourable traits to reinforce those expressions and produce offspring that are more likely to exhibit the same. All those genes were already there, often as recessive genes, but by repeatedly choosing those traits they will after some generations become dominant traits. This is how wolves eventually became the thousands of dog species we have today. These types of genetic drift can happen in nature but in the wild if it is not advantageous to the species it dies out and does not beget more of the same. Imagine how long a pekinese born into a wolf pack would last. It would be a Scoobie snack long before it matured enough to breed and pass on that particular trait. Nature is cruel but it's cruelty has a purpose. Improving the ability of an organism to survive in it's environment.

With GM, genes from totally unrelated species are spliced in to get a result that could never happen in nature as they weren't present in the parent creatures. For example Bt corn which is over 90% of the commercial corn grown in the US used for cereals, animal feed and methanol production to name a few. Genes from a bacteria known as Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki that is deadly to caterpillars and others of that family were spliced into corn genes so any corn worm that chomped down on the roots or any other part of the plant would suffer a painful death.

There is no possible way that those genes could ever become part of corn DNA in nature. After a couple of decades the pests have become resistant to that bacteria nd are ravaging corn crops all over the world just as weeds have become resistant to the glyphosate in Roundup and are now known as Frankenweeds that grow to enormous sizes compared to their previous size and have rendered millions of acres of farmland useless for cultivation. Mon$atan in their infinite wisdom is countering that with a cocktail of herbicides that includes glyphosate and good old Agent Orange that worked so well in the Vietnam war to denude vast forests to expose and poison the enemy and anyone else exposed to it. Hundreds of US military personnel were crippled by it and court cases are still pending against Mon$atan and the government of the US over compensation for their injuries.

For anyone to say that pot has been genetically modified for decades or longer obviously doesn't have a clue.
